I don't understand why it's so hard for some of you to blame refs

There is some accountability. It just isn’t played out in public. These games get reviewed. Guys get assessed. It’s not the accountability I object to, it’s the idea that it doesn’t seem to improve.

My point exactly. No transparency equates to no accountability. Who cares if some guy is told after the fact “hey you missed that, do better.” It doesn’t solve anything and the problem continues.

Despite FSU using the three holding plays to the outside the final drive, and 93% of div 1 teams getting a td call where we didn't. We still left 9 points on the board.

Teams have been beating FSU with passing which we didnt do to almost halftime and they are 0-4 common sense say you take everything you can get against them. We should have tried to expose their weakness; that's what you do to 0-4 teams.

What makes zero sense is why help FSU?

FSU isn't making a bowl this season.

And even if they do, nobody cares about a 6 win FSU team playing in a lower tier bowl.

I don’t watch the other northern teams, but ever since we joined this league, we never get a fairly officiated game...in basketball as well.

saying “we wuz robbed” is a time-honored tradition in sports. Every sport that has officials or refs and involves individual interpretation is a sport where those refs and officials are going to make bad calls. And fans are not going to be happy about it.

Syracuse-Notre Dame 1961 is why so many of us old timers have always rooted against ND…well, one of many reasons anyway. On the other hand, we tend to forget the ones that go our way, like the extra point that was actually no good against Toledo in OT ten years ago. We also selectively become blind when it comes to things that weren’t called against us. Just say the name “Marvin Graves” to a WVU fan if you re looking for a fun reaction.

Does it suck? Of course it does, but it comes with the territory in a sport where players, coaches, and yes, refs are imperfect. There are evaluations and sometimes consequences even if they are not apparent to fans. Beyond that, unless every play is going to have a video replay then sometimes mistakes will be made and sometimes we are going to get screwed. You and I may not be happy about it but it is the nature of the beast.

Dude they get graded every game by their league office. The league office holds them accountable. I know that’s not the legal system but it’s how every conference in America does it. Performance review by the league every week. But sure, ask your Uncle the lawyer if he’ll take this to the Supreme Court lol.

Because I already know it’s indirectly rigged. Let me say it as clear as I can - The ACC does not earn any credibility when a team like Syracuse beats a team like FSU, Clemson or UNC. They don’t get any more money, good headlines, endorsements. Nothing. Syracuse as brought in to be a cellar dweller and that’s exactly what it’s done. The only thing worse than people who blame the refs after every loss are the people who refuse to acknowledge the losses that the refs had a major impact on.

yesterday’s roughing the passer, no hold call, and the touchdown by Shrader all led to a points swing. Hard to argue that all three didn’t have a direct impact t in the game.
