It would be optimal to get this out of the way as soon as possible so they can prepare the team mentally to go forward without him.

I believe there may be more requirements necessary for his reinstatement, so he may not be available for a bit longer, but obviously, no word has been said to the public. This is more complicated than an up or down vote...

Then, why would JB say he can practice with the team?

I'm not sure each section of what you've posted here is connected together and the 1st 2 premises certainly don't beg the question asked.

IMHO, JB stating he can practice with the team only goes as far as to indicate that WHATEVER the situation is, it, in and of itself does NOT preclude his practicing with the team.

Maybe this is like the official reviews in football, where the longer it takes signifies the officials are trying to get the yard and clock right.

I suggest mantonio's description under his handle be changed to "Prince of Optimism".

Either that, or "The Anti-Igor".

:D

Maybe the team already knows outcome.
If the team knew, what would keep SU from makign a public statement? Unless something was decided after 5PM today they'd have no reason to hide it.

I don't know. I'm getting punch drunk with all of the various reports. I'm gonna take a break from looking at reports

At this stage my hope is that Fab has been declared eligible, and the delay is trying to get the press release crafted such that it does not appear to be the basketball program wagging the University!

The team knew all last week that Fab wasn't going to be making the trip to South Bend and Cincy; there was no public statement from SU until, I believe, the day of the ND game.

It actually indicates the opposite. Bad ruling and they're scrapping for last resort options.

Reason it went down from 50% to 25% today.

I think we have a winner

Son of a bitch! I just heard from a good source at SU that the review board today was co-chaired by Gloria Allred, Jim Burr, and Tim Higgins.

I think those refs want him back. They just LOVE calling those charges on him as blocking fouls...
