If this new offense can't convince 50K to show up for Clemson, I give up on the city of Syracuse

So they will double the most visiting fans to EVER visit the dome? Dude...

Tennessee had to have more than 4K in 98. They had the whole corner top to bottom.

what do we have to show that clemson travels? they dont travel like WV or many big 10 teams. those teams are used to traveling.. clemson fans are used to going 5-6 hrs to go to games.

I'm guessing this is accurate.

Though I expect Clemson to being more fans than Buttgers, or Yukon, or Cincy, or USF EVER did.

They're like an entirely new team.

Haven't seen a transformation like this in forever.

We are currently witnessing something special at the QB spot.

Enjoy it.

We had a pretty good transformation once Pugh returned last year and the no huddle offense really took traction. Remember we were 2-4 to start the season and many were writing us off, with our only victories a 1 point squeaker against Pitt and then a game against Stony Brook at home that we were losing at half time.

50k is more than a sell out and we've only ever had a few sell ours. Doubt we sell out Clemson.

they only way to sell it out is to push for a record crowd and special t-shirts.. it seems to work for bball.. but that requires some marketing effort..

I agree. Epic Tenn. turnout. I remember it. Lets be generous and say it was 6,000. Clemson is going to have 33% more than that historic showing?...No. No they wont.

My only concern with the offense today is whether we have a hr hitter or 2 out there. Seemed efficient and we capitalized on mistakes. Still wondering who the game breaker will be. Nice to be scoring points again though

BS! Sad student turn-out. Cameras zooming in have a way to hide what is really there.
Sucks we can't get a good student turnout. But if zooming in on TV helps to hide that lackluster turnout, I'm down with that.

I'd rather be complaining about a lack of a deep threat after putting up 50 in consecutive games than lack of a deep threat after our first 2 games this year lol.

It doesn't seem like that person has emerged yet, if they will, but Hunt's ability to read the field and his mobility adds another wrinkle to the offense that helps to make up for that some.

True. But things will look remarkably different against Clemson. The guy that should get more touches still isn't doing much...

Yep. Actually the two guys I've expected to break out now with Hunt slinging it were remarkably quiet today. Broyld had 1 catch and Estime 0 today. And that's not even considering West who had 1 catch too.

Clemson travels. I think there will be more Clemson fans at the Dome than you think. We will wait and see who is right. Talk to ya in a couple weeks
Yes. Clemson booked hotels up all around Syracuse early. I know the University had trouble finding hotel rooms for the alumni club Presidents who come in that weekend. I've read posts here about the scarcity of hotel rooms. It is a lot of Clemson fans from what I have heard.

Yup. I'm thinking as many as 8,000!

We are equally guilty of apathy. Everyone here was excited for PSU. Reasonably optimistic about Northwestern. But leading into Wager, all anyone could do was debate e merits of be QB or another. Hunt has been dynamic, and he has completely changed how this offense functions. And it has seemingly had a residual effect on the rest of the team as well.

Hunt is our QB. He has done really well, and we here give our props so reluctantly. We are the first ones to say, "Well it was only Northwestern's second string...it was only Wagner...it was only Tulane..." Wen what we should be saying is..."This kid is for real...and the team has turned around 180 degrees. SU football is exciting wit Hunt at the controls." Overpower the naysayers. You've got to be in the dome to see the show.

I hope the University gets their act together and markets the hell out of #3 Clemson visiting the Dome, throughout upstate NY, for the next two weeks. No pussyfooting around with this.

Here are the cities in New York State.

All of them with a population of around 30k or higher, within a 2 hour radius of Syracuse, need to have commercials airing for the next 2 weeks.

Rochester ~ 200k
Syracuse ~ 150k
Albany ~ 100k
Schenectady ~ 65k
Utica ~ 60k
Troy ~ 50k
Binghamton ~ 45k
Rome ~ 35k
Ithaca ~ 30k
Elmira ~ 30k

That's about 765k people, not including the smaller cities and towns, within a 2 hour radius. Every single one of them needs to have commercials airing on TV and radio.

Heard today that Clemson has 40 buses of fans traveling to Syracuse for the game.

Again it would help if they announced a game time. I hate the way college football schedules.

I know you realize that all the hate you throw at announcing game times isn't going to change anything. Why not just have a cold one (or more) and let it go.

Yeh, not since last year when we switched to the hurryup offense.
