In Memoriam

I love this segment of the Oscars but thought they didn't do a very good job of it this evening. Just pictures for 90% and very brief clips for a handful of others. They used to show at least silent clips of the movies they all worked on. They took a little more time with it and didn't move the camera back to show the guy singing like tonight. Also, some years ago they decided to either edit out the applause or ordered the audience to hold off until the end. I guess it was so those who got less of it, (or rather their survivors) would not feel offended. The silence takes something out of it.

I thought the editing was strange as well.. they panned out and several people got lost in the shuffle.
