I didn't know he was a big fan of LA Brea.So there's a chance I can sneak into Adam Weitsman's seats?
That's the saddest part of what is happening. Losing is one thing, being, borderline, unwatchable is another. This program is teetering on being irrelevant. The Dome is going to look more and more empty until a change is made.
I actually had rooms booked for Louisville and Duke. Cancelled them both. I have some other major travel plans in January and March and figure I could save a little cash not going to Syracuse for something that just isn't super enjoyable.

This isn't turning around with Boeheim at the helm. The good news is that it doesn't take much to change perceptions in basketball. Look what Oats has done in a very short time. Hurley and UConn are probably a better analogy though.

Sure, everyone wants to see Cuse go undefeated at home but part of the Dome experience is also about the level of competition. Indiana has a potential 1st team AA coming to the Dome that those who choose not to attend will miss out seeing live. Duke has a potential #1 NBA draft pick plus one of the last games in Coach K's career. I want to see Banchero play in person. See how good he really is.The Dome is going to look more and more empty until a change is made.

Not sure if announced but Cory Alexander and Anish Schroff doing the Iowa vs UVA on the deuce right now. Could be them tomorrow in Syracuse.Does SU release ticket sales before games? Any guesses on attendance?
Also, any clue who will announce the game on ESPN2?
There are still people worried about COVID though. There’s going to be no real attendance issues this year despite what anyone thinks. Have heard this take in other years too.
There’s 8 Saturday games and I still know people looking for tickets. There are still people worried about COVID though.
Excellent! I'm already in for the Duke game (plus Nova and Georgetown) but haven't made any other decisions yet for home games. There’s 8 Saturday games and I still know people looking for tickets.
Besides those who are basketball dire hards the casual fan has no idea who those guys are. With all the recent 1 and done's I don't think people are showing up to see a heralded player unless cbb gets another zion.Sure, everyone wants to see Cuse go undefeated at home but part of the Dome experience is also about the level of competition. I love Red and Gerry, but assuming we stay at this level….I just don’t know if you can do that?Agreed. It'll take a new coach, and probably a whole new regime, but Red or Gerrry will get a chance.
I can’t believe he’ll ever be the guy. He loves the west coast.I love Red and Gerry, but assuming we stay at this level….I just don’t know if you can do that?
If the program was rolling at 2009-14 levels, I could see going for continuity. Tough to justify when we’re mediocre.
At the same time, the family aspect of the program where alumni are always coming back - that’s something special and I don’t want to lose that. Wish Hop would win some games at Washington so he could be the guy.
Hop loves the west coast? Where are you getting that info? That feels like some kind of inference you’re making based on no evidence whatsoever. He’s from Southern California but he spent most of his post high school years on the East Coast. And all of his deep recruiting connections are on the East coast.I can’t believe he’ll ever be the guy. He loves the west coast.
Perhaps this sentiment has been expressed more than once on the Mike Hopkins thread, which I have never read?

Football has ended - for us.Besides those who are basketball dire hards the casual fan has no idea who those guys are. With all the recent 1 and done's I don't think people are showing up to see a heralded player unless cbb gets another zion.
With that being said Indiana is still a name, couple that with coming off COVID and the sweet 16 I'd guess they had no problem selling a boat load of tickets in the off season. Football had respectable attendance coming off a 1-10 season.
Most people aren't really following basketball until football ends anyways. I doubt the Dome will have much of a noticeable change in attendance unless things really begin to sputter.
