Coaching coaching coaching. Pay for top-tier coaching and get a great coaching staff. Build a great culture. Install pro-style systems. Focus on player development. Specialized coaches access 24/7(shooting coach big man coach strength coach etc). Go all in on that stuff before other programs. Get a reputation for getting players drafted again. Get creative. Then when you get to the tournament who knows what will happen. But with great coaching and a great foundation of talent you will put yourself in the tournament 90 percent of the time and give yourself a chance and as a fan base that is all we can ask. Give us some well coached exciting basketball and players that fight on every possession on both ends of the court with passion.

Why do Marquette, Gonzaga, St Marys, Clemson, Wisconsin, and Creighton get their players to stay? When they can just go to SEC?

Indiana spent. They suck. Wisconsin lost its two best players due to NIL and they are near the Top of the Big 10. We are ranked 130. That is not all NIL.

Is this a joke? Kam Jones is getting 1.9 million. Marquette even has an NIL collective that pays their walkons to stick around.

Yeah, when Bulldog first mentioned this, I thought I must have misunderstood what he was saying. It just seemed so implausible. But then, how do you not have proper S&C and nutrition programs? It makes you wonder how very little money they must leave the AD's office, or how well it's being spent. I wonder how much goes to outside services like marketing companies?

Are you inferring a lot or a little goes to outside marketing companies?

They just need to ring up whoever makes this particular treadmill and work out a marketing deal.

Or shoot over to Planet Fitness. They have about 24 or 30 lined up. They are never all in use.

On a more serious note, a lot of sports teams, college and pro, run 50/50 raffles at every game. For $10 you get a Naheem McLeod arm length worth of tickets. Each game have a different sports team sell the tickets. If you got 3000 fans to spend $5 each to split a $15,000 pot, you could self fund a treadmill or two. I’ve had season tickets for two decades as well. I’ve skipped more games this year for a few reasons besides the fact we stink. There is no way attendance is anywhere close to what’s been announced this year. There’s been multiple games with less than 10K.

Announced attendance is tickets distributed. Same as every P5 program. That’s been discussed ad nauseum here and on the football board. There may have been a game or two early in the year against low profile opponents with actual attendance close to 10,000 but to say there was one where “we had less than 5000 through the gate for a game against one of the best ACC teams this year“ is simply absurd.

I agree. It’s plenty of bad coaching here. Wisco is the exception from what I can tell and not really the norm.

AI is just worse than anything out there, which is why I made fun of it. Idk about all the metrics, I am an eye test guy. I can see St. John’s is better and more athletic than someone telling me they’re bpa or chatgpt % is better.

I asked an usher before the Duke game what was the expected attendance and she said 14,000. They announced over 23,000. It was obviously somewhere in between.

Im gonna go Wednesday and will count each person in the dome to get an exact count. It will at least be as entertaining as the product on the court, probably more. I’ll post my results by Thursday morning. I M guesstimating 9,436 “butts in the seats” as the football attendance gurus like to say.
