we haven’t had less than 10,000 for a game and several legit crowds of over 20,000.
only in terms of tickets sold

In case you haven’t noticed, lots of college kids test the NBA waters before coming back to college like Judah his freshman year. He's not on any draft boards, in case you haven't noticed.
Melo Center has two underwater treadmills. Coach Jack was the person who told me they needed a new treadmill. They were waiting for many months. How cheap is that?Doesn’t the football team not only have treadmills but underwater treadmills?

So both the men’s and women’s teams need treadmills? How many? Why doesn’t someone just use a purchasing card to buy them?Melo Center has two underwater treadmills. Coach Jack was the person who told me they needed a new treadmill. They were waiting for many months. How cheap is that?
I think we need a new coach as much as anyone but a lot of things you just rattled off just come as the result of spending money.Coaching coaching coaching. Pay for top-tier coaching and get a great coaching staff. Build a great culture. Install pro-style systems. Focus on player development. Specialized coaches access 24/7(shooting coach big man coach strength coach etc). Go all in on that stuff before other programs. Get a reputation for getting players drafted again. Get creative. Then when you get to the tournament who knows what will happen. But with great coaching and a great foundation of talent you will put yourself in the tournament 90 percent of the time and give yourself a chance and as a fan base that is all we can ask. Give us some well coached exciting basketball and players that fight on every possession on both ends of the court with passion.
Quick accounting lesson, what’s their expenses look like? Did that revenue go towards dome upgrades or the football program?Men's bball had $34 million in revenue (2 in the country) but can't replace treadmills.
What the hell is going on up there? Is it time to call Elon and DOGE?

Go all in on this stuff before other teams. That ship has sailed.
Right now all the things you just took the time to write are being done by 30 other programs, better, and for multiple years.
Keeping a foundation of talent, well the last 2 years our best bigs left for more money, specialized coaches, more talent. Money and more money.
The teams winning now It’s not because they’re smarter or creative it’s the money.
Indiana spent. They suck. Wisconsin lost its two best players due to NIL and they are near the Top of the Big 10. We are ranked 130. That is not all NIL.I think we need a new coach as much as anyone but a lot of things you just rattled off just come as the result of spending money.

Is this a joke? Kam Jones is getting 1.9 million. Marquette even has an NIL collective that pays their walkons to stick around. Why does Marquette get their players to stay?
Are you inferring a lot or a little goes to outside marketing companies?Yeah, when Bulldog first mentioned this, I thought I must have misunderstood what he was saying. It just seemed so implausible. But then, how do you not have proper S&C and nutrition programs? It makes you wonder how very little money they must leave the AD's office, or how well it's being spent. I wonder how much goes to outside services like marketing companies?
Announced attendance is tickets distributed. Same as every P5 program. That’s been discussed ad nauseum here and on the football board. There may have been a game or two early in the year against low profile opponents with actual attendance close to 10,000 but to say there was one where “we had less than 5000 through the gate for a game against one of the best ACC teams this year“ is simply absurd.I’ve had season tickets for two decades as well. I’ve skipped more games this year for a few reasons besides the fact we stink. There is no way attendance is anywhere close to what’s been announced this year. There’s been multiple games with less than 10K.
I am well aware how attendance is counted. There have been multiple weeknight ACC games this year that we did not have 10K. There is no way. I wish we could go back and look at the tape.Announced attendance is tickets distributed. Same as every P5 program. That’s been discussed ad nauseum here and on the football board. I agree. It’s plenty of bad coaching here. Wisco is the exception from what I can tell and not really the norm.Indiana spent. They suck. Wisconsin lost its two best players due to NIL and they are near the Top of the Big 10. We are ranked 130. That is not all NIL.
We can argue this all day, but unless you have the data on redemption rate I stand by my statement. Over 20k in the building for Duke and UNC. At least 10k for every other conference game and most, if not all out of conference.only in terms of tickets sold
AI is just worse than anything out there, which is why I made fun of it. Idk about all the metrics, I am an eye test guy. I can see St. John’s is better and more athletic than someone telling me they’re bpa or chatgpt % is better.Hah I know. All day long the metrics fly around here to push whatever arguments people are pushing but I ask AI to simply count the # of alumni out there for the top 50 colleges and now it can’t be right haha.
Sorry. You are clueless if you believe this apparently by watching on tv if you are relying on the tape.I am well aware how attendance is counted. There have been multiple weeknight ACC games this year that we did not have 10K. There is no way. I wish we could go back and look at the tape.
Yours being exhibit A.Sorry. You are clueless if you believe this apparently by watching on tv if you are relying on the tape.
Takes on this board seem to get more and more absurd after happy hour. Just a coincidence?
I asked an usher before the Duke game what was the expected attendance and she said 14,000. They announced over 23,000. It was obviously somewhere in between. We can argue this all day, but unless you have the data on redemption rate I stand by my statement. Over 20k in the building for Duke and UNC. Think maybe we make a call to the Autry radio show and see what’s up.So both the men’s and women’s teams need treadmills? How many? Why doesn’t someone just use a purchasing card to buy them?
Like, this is fascinating to me because it’s either gross incompetence or someone is kinda fibbing.
A trusted poster on this board said otherwise and had a credible source. I trust them.We can argue this all day, but unless you have the data on redemption rate I stand by my statement. Im gonna go Wednesday and will count each person in the dome to get an exact count. It will at least be as entertaining as the product on the court, probably more. I’ll post my results by Thursday morning. I M guesstimating 9,436 “butts in the seats” as the football attendance gurus like to say.A trusted poster on this board said otherwise and had a credible source. I trust them.

I didn’t watch. Glad we won. Fin. Don't worry. They are resurrecting ESPN Classic specifically to show this game on a non-stop loop.syracusefan.com
You can trust all you want. It’s still wrong. And absurdly so. But you stick to your story. I am never going to educate you otherwise.A trusted poster on this board said otherwise and had a credible source. I trust them.
