Don't expect it to start going up soon. SU has had change of heart. They will not start the building until they have a percentage of the donations in place. SU is not going to back the funding. Ultimately
the new chancellor will have to make the call.

$1m savings fund
$1m scholarship cost

$2m Lax program
$3m to buildings and improvements
$3m Hoops
$6m Football

I have a pretty good idea why the University had a change of heart...and it's because the Ath Dept is a financial disaster. Hopefully the next AD and new Chancellor can get things on track.

I really don't understand why the Athletic Dept and the Chancellor can't leverage the future ACC increases into funding the start-up. Maybe Nancy is simply deferring to her replacement as a courtesy. This needs to get done sooner rather than later. What!

Yes, Athletics has been bleeding money and getting bailed out by campus. The well is closed...for now at least.

As Anomander said, the Olympic coaches are getting paid...and I have heard about some other things that would make people nuts.
