More like posturing. Adds to the claim of plausible deniability.#hubris

Thinking SMU football et al, death penalty...the sham classes scam UNC ran for years should have warranted a 5 year ban minimum .
Coaches probably didn’t know. And players didn’t either. Lmao.
Honestly, I'd take an audio recording of Rosie O'Donnell on the toilet over half of these announcers.I will take this MST 3000 studio crew call the game over Dakich/Mowins.

Report: Seized docs implicate numerous prominent NCAA players
Pretty much the same as the article above but be worried if you've had a recent 1st rounder...
Hammer and Mali bother me here...How about 6 in a row?
Hammer and Mali bother me here...
Oh, for sure and many more.Hammer and Mali bother me here...
I hate to have to say this Hot Take, but ... That's too bad. If you/your family got money regardless of your knowledge of the situation, you are/were ineligible. And I want forfeits, not just vacated wins.Oh, for sure and many more.
Both articles are already laying out the defense, though. They didn't know; this was all shady agents, shoe companies, and assorted hangers on. Coaches and players had no idea. And I've got some bridges in Brooklyn to sell.
But unless there is direct evidence of coaches or universities involved, what can the NCAA do? The players are going to say they didn't know and the coaches will say the same thing. They're not going to punish programs for stuff third parties did. The FBI is a different matter, but I think they're satisfied with what they have done to this point. I don't doubt that eventually there will be a whole lot of negative press and a couple of coaches will fall, maybe, but not much else. UNC had 25 years of fake classes and didn't get whacked. They're not going to get a ban hammer because their many* McD AAs' cousins were getting $$ from an shoe company.
* this was something that bothered me last night, Dakich was fawning all over UNC's great program and how many super talented players had come through there. Yeah, no duh. Don't pee on my leg and tell me its raining. UNC, Duke, and UK, and Alabama (football edition) aren't hoovering up 5 stars because those kids like the campus and undergrad education, so don't blow smoke about how amazing it is that all these super talented recruits magically keep going to a handful of schools. Dakich also said something about Jordan betting him $6k in a golf game as an undergrad, but maybe I'm misremembering that.
Absolutely, but NCAA knows how their bread gets buttered and plausible deniability is what protects the coaches.I hate to have to say this Hot Take, but ... That's too bad. What if both teams had ineligible players in the game? Its very likely if this is as deep and widespread as its sounding.I hate to have to say this Hot Take, but ... That's too bad. Remove all of the points scored by ineligible players and see what the score is after that?
I think Jb is clean as well. I think it might come down to two things. One, agents who work with a school to direct players to that school and then to become clients and two, agents who don't care where the kid goes to school and just want him to be their client when they leave to go pro. I would say we might fall in to the last category. If we are in any trouble it will come from Troy Murphy, Rob Murphy, Mike Hopkins recruiting players IMO.
I do believe Jim Boeheim is totally clean. He wouldn’t pay kids hundreds of thousands of dollars to play at Syracuse. I laugh at the thought JB paying Paul Harris to come to SU.
I think assistants paying kids are where it goes down. Calipari will have a fall guy.
I think you mean Troy Weaver? Paul Harris was a top recruit. In this link he was rated 12th nationally. Some had him ranked higher. Some are speculating that kids received benefits that were ranked a lot worse than Paul Harris. None of it is laughable. https://n./content/prospects/2006/paul-harris-39106If we are in any trouble it will come from Troy Murphy, Rob Murphy, Mike Hopkins recruiting players IMO.
