Italy Game #1 (SU 69-59)

Quite frankly, team might be better without Carey (judging based on other summer games I have watched and this one). He has skills and talent but that doesn't make you a productive college basketball player, IMO.

All this being said -- it's very early.

That is true of this game, but this game is a scrimmage where nobody is playing D.

Carey is by FAR our most athletic guard, and long term I think we are going to need that athleticism to succeed. He's the most important player on the team.

Carey’s young and will need to find consistency. I’d let him experience Italy as the learning opportunity that it is and pay more mind to the out of conference slate. This is far more learning than consequence here.

Is JB letting him play or is he giving him the hot seat?

JB always goes with experience. I’d be shocked if Carey wasn’t our starting guard for the out of conference schedule

How has Washington looked so far? Haven't seen any mentions yet. Is he playing?
edit: lol, at the post above me mentioning him
To me he looks under control for the most part, always was his demeanor though.

He's the last player off the bench. He won't be playing meaningful minutes this year, and that shouldn't surprise anyone after all he's been through.

I think he looks pretty good, under control.
