Brats are out ... ready to be cooked. Black and Tans nicely chilled. Grill is warming up nicely. Nachos and cheese ready to go. Wife is away. Dogs have been out. My couch has been made nice and comfy. and then ...
My neighbor calls ... we are very good friends ... he takes me to the games ... we go to the Sherwood. and he asks, "Hey why don't you come over and watch the game" ... uhhhh ... his mother-in-law is there; his wife and her are going to be in the kitchen making cookies (no brats)... he has nobody to watch the game with. Put my brats back in the fridge; turn off the grill; nachoes and cheese in te fridge; put my black and tans in 2 bags; pat my dogs on the head; look longingly at my comfy couch; and now I am about to leave; out in the cold; carrying 2 bags of black and tans and a plate full of cookies my wife made for them ... Ahhhhh, the sacrifices of friendship

Not a sacrifice I would make. I like to watch the games solo. Too many distractions with anybody else within talking distance.
