It's in the genes

It's interesting, you see "lead" make the "count the basket" signal, but you never see "trail" - who handed the ball to the inbounding player - and that's supposed to be his call. He seemingly never gets into the play, and I think (IMHO) that a competent official at that level should have been able to get close enough to that play to see it. I can also say that a cell phone video from 25-30 rows up doesn't show when he gathered the ball (read: put both hands on it). I mean, does it look like a travel? Yes. Can anyone offer conclusive proof he did? No.
I watched the tv replay, which shows when he caught the inbounds pass the approximate 1.5 seconds before the clock starts and the stutter step travel.

OMG! WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO LOSE. 1st some random guy hits a double pumped left handed 3 (and based on his touch, it looks like the guy is righty) followed by a buzzer beater 3 with like 7 steps taken!

and did the clock start late? its not like he flew down the court. seems like a lot of real estate to cover in 3.3 seconds in normal speed.

I can't imagine ANY official EVER calling that in that situation. It would be like calling a (slightly) moving screen. It doesn't seriously impact the game and it's not even completely clear.

it definitely impacted the game. he would have thrown up a completely off balance 3 without the pitter patter. it was a clear walk. The video from the OP isnt working for me, and i saw cowtown say it was a cell phone video. if thats the case, here is the real video (and fyi the clock did start really late):

a ticky tack foul i understand not calling but a clear traveling violation you absolutely have to call that regardless of the situation.

Why was the Boise State basket a couple weeks ago called off because they determined by their stop watches the clock started late (he still got it off), but not this one?

I just used a stop watch myself and timed it at 3.68. Which means he didn't get it off.

I think we can all agree that there are a lot of issues going on here.

We have watched several OSU games this season. Jr has made many big plays and is a key to his team .
