At Syracuse and there’s nothing to do!

We are doing better than Dino...but dwilmont has a point.

I agree with all of you guys if that makes sense.

What we have to hope for are the relationships Fran and Staff are making and that they can coach/evaluate better than the past X amount of years along with gradually getting more and more of those high star players.

Two of our best frosh last year were late additions with very few offers and stars. Fran has a great staff and the guys that are digging day in and day out for recruits are on a different planet than Dino. Plus the staffs relationships all over the country with HS coaches and those in the know are as good as it gets. In short Fran and this staff are wired when it comes to recruiting. Especially in our key areas. Enjoy what he is doing while you can.

I am confused by this?

We have nine commits for 2026. Some teams ahead of us have 9-10-11. Some behind us as well. This isnt a pure volume thing

You also have to add in we have 3 kids with no ranking. Oregon/Texas AM have 10 and all have rankings

We will never have as high a number because the kids we get don't get reviewed the same.

if you do it by number its still a top 40 class. but our grade level so far is better than last yr and the yr before. Can it stay better?

on 247 our 2023 class was an 84, This one so far is an 87

All that matters is who is signing during early signing period. There will be a ton of schools going after our guys if they are that good. So let's see Fran and crew get the commits and then let's see which of them sign. At this point it's waaaaay to early.

Dino was not a hard worker. And he hated going on the road. Fran embraces every part of the recruiting. And he is gone so much more than what everyone knows too. The guy lives and breathes it
You’d think with our winters you’d want to hitting the road down south.

The sheer number of schools they visited in the last window was amazing. They were freaking everywhere, and it seemed like half the kids in New England were invited to our June camps.

Who was in the portal that you believe we missed on?

“Missed” meaning we had a chance to sign but lost out to another program?
Sarcasm...just like the thread title.

The advantage of having a young coach who is willing to grind.

We suffered at the end of JB's tenure when he didn't want to put in the work necessary on the recruiting trail, as well.

We very have to trust that HCFB isn't lowering his standards to recruit. If you look at the 3* players we are recruiting, almost all have many offers from P5 schools. That wasn't true two years ago, where recruits mostly had lower level offers. That's a generalization but I'm sure there are plenty of really, really good players among the 35 or so recruits.
