Tell that to Prime. He seems to have done that.
Colorado was awful last year and has exactly one more win than Syracuse this year. Don’t understand how you see this as a proven template, especially when FSU’s cautionary tale is hard to ignore.

Colorado’s offensive line is still bad (they can’t run the ball.) Their defense is fine.

The thing is, Colorado’s two most important players are transfers, but Deion didn’t work the market to get them - he brought them from Jackson State.

Shadeur much improved and getting the ball out faster, which is the key to their success. Travis Hunter is getting Heisman talk - good luck replacing him once he’s gone.

I don’t know if it means anything but he gets scout team mvp honors when they publish them each week. So he must be standing out in practice.
It seems like the best thing we could hear would be that he gives the first team defense fits during the week.

Next years schedule is brutal ad on one side I don't want Williams to be a Wilson situation when the poor kid had no chance and was thrown in too early. I agree to continue to fortify the OL wall and give him or whoever step up one but that OL will also determine if a portal QB would want to come as well.
Hope he did well long term as a person, but he wasn’t a P5 qb

Yep, he'll probably play the entire bowl game. No chance McCord suits up for the Cheez-It's bowl
You don't know that for sure. He and Fran have a special relationship, he may do it as a favor. We've seen other high profile players play in lesser bowls. It's not as if it's unprecedented as of late.

He's likely going to get drafted. He's not going to risk injury in a meaningless bowl games, nor should he.
If we beat Miami and head into the bowl game 9-3, we're getting a pretty damn good bowl and I wouldn't be shocked if he played. Not saying he's going to, but he's a competitor.

I feel like if he leads Syracuse to a win over a top ten team that would be the better way to close out his career. I understand where you are coming from though.

There's a difference between being a competitor and being dumb. Jeopardizing a multi million dollar NFL career for a bowl game is dumb

I like getting to see these kids play in bowl games. They are playing hard as it's an audition for next year.
Agreed. Even though many players sit them out, they are not exactly meaningless. They kind of are regarding the W/L. But even that does play a bit into pre season rankings the following year. And that can be significant. I love seeing more of the young guys that are likely to step into bigger roles the following year. It’s kind of like a spring game scrimmage in the winter.
