Everyone will be highly disappointed when Red Autry is named next head coach. JB has total control over the basketball program.
We aren’t going outside of the family, Jim will not allow it. Wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t end up in an executive role to still have his fingerprints on the team.
Also JB has to retire first. There will be a whole new crop of young coaches to look at by the time that happens. Current names are just moot at this point.

Jay is actually a little stiff in his tv work.
He could use a little coaching...but for some inexplicable reason tv outlets rarely do that.

I will say however the chances now are at least higher than when he was at Villanova. He would never have left Nova for Syracuse. The posts that Wright would leave a Nova, or Few leave a Gonzaga were silly.

Agreed. We need to think big to get us back to national prominence. Anything less than that is a slap in the face to the people who have built this program. We need not wait when so many coaches are out there who are fully able to get us in the top 20. Pitino is not morally perfect but who is? He can coach his ash off. We have to go with proven winners who can thread the needle right away.
