Jay Wright is my choice for SU’s new coach.

Jay Is a religious man it is close to his heart. Adam can build him a nice church or work with an existing one and he can have the best of both worlds, saving people with the church and using his position as a coach to further build said church. Money is not an issue for Jay so that is not an issue. We need to get creative or we will not get a quality coach.
Hendricks Chapel is already built. I was leaving the women’s game today and there was some priest or something talking to somebody outside of it after Sunday Service, I presume.

I avoided eye contact and walked faster. But Jay! That’s all him!

Seriously? Never knew. When parking and walking up I was always a Marshall Square Mall guy, but that has gotten more and more crowded over the years. The line before football games is nuts now. So I’ve been transitioning to the Sheraton.

Who is your choice for new SU coach big guy?

100%. In order:
1. Hendricks
2. Maxwell
3. Carnegie

I think Hendricks has been unlocked every time I’ve tried it. Maxwell and Carnegie are like 50/50 depending on timing.

I always just try to be respectful and make it quick.

1. Jay Wright
2. Jason Hart
3. Nate Oats
4. Wes Miller
5. Colgate guy who owns us
6. Schmidt(Bonnies coach)
7. Adam Weitsman
8. Pitino
9. Popovich
10. Billy Donovan
Love it.

Who is your choice for new head coach? Do you have an opinion?
Again!

Yes, I have an opinion.

  • Pitino will never happen.
  • Jay Wright is a pipe dream. See above.
  • Don't want Oats.
  • Hart would be intriguing, but I don't see him leaving the West Coast.
  • Smart would probably do well.

Two words: Slick Rick!
I'm sure the holier-than-thou among us might be triggered by Pitino, but his hire would be a home run. He was cleared of those charges against him, so why not?
Ironically I can see JB being totally against hiring his former assistant- wouldn't want anyone to steal his thunder.
Nothing like getting our old 78 year old current coach out of the way, so we can bring in a fresh, new 70 year old Coach of the 14-7 current 3rd seed in the MAAC conference Iona Gaels...

Jay Wright is Catholic. No loss of churches there. The idea that someone is going to build him a church would insult the insane.
i think he was speaking metaphorically. Building a Church can represent rallying a group of people who have had their faith shaken and need new leadership; energizing a following devoted to a worthy cause!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he wasn't "speaking metaphorically"...

That is hilarious. Any thoughts on who to replace JB?
What about this Jerome Tang guy, who has Kansas State as a top 10 team in year 1? He was a longtime assistant to Scott Drew at recent national champion Baylor. I know they’re a P5 school but KState is considered a bit of a backwater and doesn’t have a strong nearby recruiting area. Cuse is within easy driving distance of all the major east coast cities. Their closest rich recruiting areas, Chicago and Texas, are much farther away from Manhattan, Kansas.

Alternatively, what’s the chance that Autry could be our very own Jerome Tang (longtime assistant finally getting a chance as a head coach)?
