JB on ESPN2 talking Red

This is why it’s time to move on from Jimmy. I think everyone knows and appreciates what he did for the program the school and the community. But he is the person most identified with Syracuse basketball and he is on national television saying the school doesn’t have enough money. Players and parents could be watching this stuff. Can’t imagine it’s good for recruiting or the portal.

Can someone from the communications school please tell him how to communicate!!
Part of his no show job should include giving no input or opinions of the current program to anyone…the school, the new HC, TV, reporters, etc

Unfiltered and not giving a ef if what he says is factual or how people take it is one of his hallmarks. You ain't changing the spots on the old dog.

Really tired of JB and the part of our fanbase laying this at the players feet. Top 20 classes both portal wise and freshman recruiting class, we easily had enough talent to be on the right side of the bubble this year. It was an epic fail by the amateur hour of a coaching staff we had, which hurts to say because they're likeable guys who many were w/Orange for a long time.
The only player on the team who was upper echelon ACC was Kingz. George was worse than the kid from Hofstra. Freeman was a fail, etc.

We should just ignore the Rev share because every school is going to do it. Jim isn't wrong we're bottom of the ACC when it comes to basketball NIL. That needs to change or we'll be having this same conversation in 3 years.

Boeheim said he believes Syracuse is one of the best college basketball jobs in the country. The program historically attracted fans to the JMA Wireless Dome, though attendance numbers have dipped. SU, he said, has tradition and prestige.

But Syracuse University, Boeheim said, needs to recognize how much college athletics has changed and how much NIL impacts the kind of rosters coaches can assemble.

“They have to get the NIL budget up. They have to do that if they want to win. That’s not revolutionary. That’s a fact,” Boeheim said. “They have to decide if they’re going to do that. And it rolls over into football, too. They need to get more money into NIL.”

Boeheim said he is not involved in the search process to find a new basketball coach. He said he will have no influence on who SU selects.

He wants SU to hire the best possible coach, he said.
