I think it's also reasonable to say depending on Chris Bell was your first mistake.

It's also one of those sliding door type things that can't ever be proven untrue.

Maybe Bell makes 5 threes instead of 2 in the Texas game. But then maybe because of that butterfly flapping its wings Starling takes 7 shots instead of 17 and only scores 9 points. So we're right back where we started.

I mean, we can point to any one of a hundred things that could tip one of our games in either direction. Starling misses one shot he made in regulation vs. Youngstown State and we lose that game.

The big picture is that we're 5-5 with zero good wins. This team is going nowhere fast, and it's been evident since halftime against LeMoyne.

I wish he left about 5 years earlier than I did so I could miss him - I'm mostly bitter at this point about what a trainwreck he left us with because he didn't want to accept it was time to go.

Defending Red is just him saying "what trainwreck? everything is fine".

I don't think the difference between them is all that much - maybe a few points towards JJ, but that comes with him taking 15+ FGA and inefficient offense. JJ only just lost the team lead in FGA.

I knew this was coming and was waiting for him to call into one of the sports talk shows. JB is always gonna defend his guys. He also knows that fans think winning is easy and wants to push back. That said, there’s no way he doesn’t see how there are some in-game coaching issues.

Truth hurts the haters. I do think we misjudged the point guard situation. Really need Chris to be Chris to have a fighting chance. Hope JJ returns soon.

I remember the day that I used to drink every last ounce of Syracuse basketball I could find... press conferences, weekly coach shows, articles, forums, etc. That has changed a lot. I found myself not watching all that many of the pressers during Boeheim's last couple of years, zero weekly coach shows, and very few articles because I don't see value in subscribing to the PS. With Red, I have watched one presser, and that was sort of painful. I still bleed orange and support Red, but I just can't get myself to do it nearly as much as before mainly because I feel like I'm being fed bull manure half the time.
