JB's Postgame Presser | IUP

JB: "You know every game you're going to get into a rhythm of 5 or 6 guys at some point in time. That's college basketball. This isn't the NBA...6 or 7 guys is what everybody plays. Nobody seems to understand that in Syracuse, but it's...the truth. You don't like the truth sometimes."
I agree with JB that it’s not always the best decision to go full Florida State and play 10-11 guys every night. It helps guys to get in a rhythm to have extended playing time. I think an 8-man rotation is ideal, unless you’re pressing a lot, which we may have to this season. Despite what he said here about 6-7 guys, I do think he’ll rotate in about 8 players a game in ACC play, but I think it’ll change a bit from night to night on who those guys are. Bunch, Taylor and Copeland in particular will see their minutes go up and down from night to night, depending on matchups and how they’re playing.

Also I think a lot depends on how much mtm is being played and which guys match up the best.

Listen to JB. He praised Cope more than anyone.
Judah got a lot of praise, too, particularly his second half performance.

For Boeheim to be positive this time of year is unusual. I think he's loaded.
Go ahead and watch the Devo and Kris Jo broadcast that I posted. They love the GOAT very much and address the fan bashing. So basically your comments are falling on many deaf ears.

I've wondered over the years why Jim chooses certain kids to be highly critical of while others get sort of a free pass. Benny is obviously one he expects a ton out of and will probably never meet Boeheim's expectations. Maybe this is good, I don't know. That said, it's so refreshing when he speaks about the positive aspects of players, like he did today with Copeland and Mintz. I wish he would do more of this, but again, there is a chance that Jim knows more than me.

JB: “You’re gonna have more turnovers when you play 10,11 guys. It’s just what happens.”

Board: 4.5 man rotation, confirmed
