Jeff Hafley Watch...

We better beat BC.
They are going to look like 2018 Louisville by the time we play them. Doubt they beat Duke and no way they beat ND or NC State, even with NC State looking blah on offense. Best case they are 3-8 when we face them, Flowers and Jurkovich will be looking towards the combine. Throw in a Thanksgiving weekend cold weather game in front of 200 people.

I'll be one of the 200. Have to bring my daughter back to Boston for college, so decided to get tix for the family. Why not?

I would be tempted to go to this one in order to laugh in the face of the single Superfan who thought they were at the women's soccer game.

Eerily reminiscent of a Ville/Cuse late November papa Jon’s stomping
I believe I heard that BC had not lost to a team from New England since a game against Holy Cross since 1970.

No that isn’t saying much. New England football has been awful since the Ivy League got crappy circa 1950.

But this is a devastating loss for BC. It would be like us losing in football to Colgate or Cornell.

Congrats to UConn. Their fans thought they had a chance against the lowly Eagles and they were right.

Hard to understand why any played committed to BC would stay with them after this disastrous season.

Jurkovec left the game in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury. Hafley is the crappy coach we thought he was.

A Schiano disciple.

His coaching tree, is atrocious outside PJ Fleck

Spot on about this being disastrous. UConn was without their top 3 running backs, top 2 wide receivers, and starting QB. I will say that Mora has also been fantastic so far. Not saying we’ll ever be anything better than mediocre but without the injuries we’d be probably be 6-3 and bowl eligible right now. Even with half the team out, it’s possible that we still get there by beating UMass and Army.

Lol they have to play their real rivals Holy Cross at home next season (they are top 5 FCS this year) along with uconn rematch if they can Hafley and lose the talent they do have here and there on the team it could get ugly.

I'm not sure why they gave uconn that home and home in the first place they blocked them from joining the ACC. Furthermore those games were the same weekend 10/29 this year and 10/28 next year if you are BC why are you scheduling that non conference game that late in the season?

Would love to see belichek get the job. Less excited for the HC coach.

They may want to consider the coach who just beat them.
Chesney is undefeated and going somewhere . I’d want him over Belichick

I assumed Syracuse would be in on him if this season went really bad this year.

To be fair they were in a much better place in the late 2000s specifically not having to share a conference with uconn.

They lose Flowers, Gill and Phil J but its not like those 3 did much for them this year despite being the entire team. I'm sure they will go with a different QB than the kid who played against us last year who was the backup yesterday. Their line should be OK again.

Pitt and FSU are tough annual opponents I'm cool with them screwing up the next hire. Its hilarious their Athletic Directors keep getting poached for whatever reason by UCLA and Penn State now they have Miami's last AD to pick the new coach.

Here's a look in at those great conversations:

Hafley isn't in a much different situation as Dino was last year. Both guys were not hired by the current ADs, both were struggling after much fan fare out of the gates and both have good relationships with the school itself and handle themselves in a classy way.

My guess is Hafley survives this year and is given a Dino ultimatum where he is given more money to hire better assistants.

If they fire Hafley they have identified a Bob Chesney who they know will come and completely change things up and will be ok with this rebuild.

I think Hafley needs another year to figure out the O-Line, usually a BC strength. They need to rebuild it with the local bigs and then work the portal similar to how we have.
