Jimmy Jr decided?

My only concern with Jimmy is how it might effect Buddy. At the end of the year this was Buddy’s team. Is his older brother willing to concede the spotlight to his younger brother and might it cause some hesitancy in Buddy’s game. JB and Julie said through the tournament that Jimmy doesn’t lack confidence, where Buddy does. It could cause some odd dynamics.

Any forward/guard and their family who are talking with SU will likely be aware that Jimmy is joining just from the course of conversations. They will want to know the team config. Jimmy confirming is more a fan thing right now than anything else.

He’s not coming here.

(someone has to say it and I don’t lose any money if I’m wrong, correct?)
If everyone had to put money into a kitty for every wrong statement or prediction made here this site could not only be ad free but there would probably be enough left over for a huge party at the end of every year. (BYOB of course, some of you people have problems)

I suspect there is some pause about it. People have savaged the coach and Buddy this year. Accusing coach of having no interest in winning games only of giving his son undeserved minutes, mismanagement of the program related to nepotism, running off star players to keep his son in the spotlight and so on. Responding to that by bringing his other son into the program? I’m sure the entire family is thinking very hard about it.
So, you're saying JB cares a whit about what anyone else says?

nathan fillion i don't know what to tell you.gif

I don't think that matters 1%. Jimmy played what 3 years at Cornell already, will graduate from Cornell and is now going to participate in his father's going away present which is his retirement season (s). I think that's a very very very special thing for a family. Having a son myself I couldn't begin to think of how awesome this situation must be for JAB. He's essentially riding off into the sunset with his sons at his side. This is Nicklaus at the Masters in 86 w Jackie on the bag.

The situation is incredibly unique and incredibly Syracuse. Boeheim has given his entire life to that school and i think his own kids probably see these last few years as a grand Mr Hollands Opus like ending.

I can't wait to see how it all plays out. Sometimes things are bigger than sports. We owe to the Boeheims on this one no matter how it plays out.

He decided he was not going back to Cornell in the fall. How has this not been made official yet ?

On my list of 10,000 things that concern me going into next year, that wouldn’t be in the top 9,999. Maybe 10,000.

Maybe.

This plus no Kadary and Swider having similar stengths and weaknesses definitely make you wonder if next years cast is the right fit for our star player. A role which Buddy totally earned and established himself.

I think there’s enough total talent we’ll be fine.

Maybe you didn't make it clear enough that this is all about you.

Not bout me. Just doesnt make sense this long in. If this is a foregone conclusion. Offseason has been active with guys coming going deciding etc.

Once you started questioning someone else's actions or inactions regarding a sport you follow, not to mention that you know absolutely nothing about the situation, you made it all about yourself.

Well said. Plus Jimmy has the potential to be an important piece to the puzzle for both roster management and team chemistry.

When it's announced publicly it will be great press across the country for the Boeheims. If anyone thought how great the JAB and Buddy story was, this is much bigger. Looking forward to the great stories.

It's the ending that I'm most concerned about.
