JJ / Left Hand Injury

Rolo Tomassi is an excellent British Mathcore Band. I saw them a few months ago live.
You're in San Diego I assume, do you know Jon Cougar Concentration Camp? They're pretty awesome and play there every year or so. I want to get out there to see them, they're more of a Ramonescore style band though.

I try to be optimistic, but it is so frustrating to go year after year without success for Syracuse basketball. The basketball season is long and I will watch every game, but it is getting more difficult to believe in the future.

I’ve already set my expectations at 10-15 win this year in a losing season. This just puts the projection closer to 10 wins.

Are you freakin kidding me? We lose our best player 7 games into the season! What a complete disaster. I love Starling, he’s the leader of this team. This SUCKS.

Anyone else considering changing their fantasy basketball team's name to "JJ's Left Hand?"

Have No Fear-
Elder Statesman Chris Bell will employ his formidable Leadership Skills to rally and inspire his team in the face of Adversity, leading them to an Amazing Victory tonight.
Bell's leadership will propel this SU team to excel beyond expectations with the loss of JJ Starling.
Have another beer!

This will just be what people argue in defense of Red. But JJ...just like:

21-22: But Jesse broke his wrist
22-23: But JB too hard on Benny
23-24: But Judah and Quadir bad attitude
24-25: and, but JJ hurt

If our program hasn't been bad, these setbacks wouldn't sentence us to 4 years no tournament. If he wins 10-12, no question it's tournament or bust next year. Question is whether he can get transfers coming off a horrible year and everyone knowing he's on the hot seat.
W t are you talking about? Starling is by far our best player. That doesn’t compare to any other recent year. And second of all, it’s only Red’s second season, so the other two years are irrelevant. losing Jesse in 2022 with the broke wrist definitely hurt that team’s chances, but Red wasn’t even the head coach.

He’s saying the injury will be an out for Red just like JB tried to make Jesse’s injury an out for himself a few years ago. That said we were 4-2 with him and barely beat 4 mid majors while losing to our only two good opponents. If we were 6-0 I don’t think we would feel nearly this hopeless.

at least its his left!...have faith people

Its a subgenre of punk and hardcore. Think more rhythm complexity and tempo changes.
I'm interested... Could you send me a track name that is a good entry point?

Some people might not agree but you raise good points. Whatever the deal was with Carlos, now is the time to show that he's more than a nothing. Hopefully Westry also gets a shot and is able to put up good minutes.
The Tennessee point guard is actually smaller than Carlos. He won't have the problem of getting beaten based on size tonight.

If Starling is by far your best player, you have an awful team. Case in point.

assuming carlos plays

why would carlos even be on the floor though???

im sure reds gonna think like you though...

To be honest, I genuinely believe this is the first time in my life as a Syracuse fan I’m watching the game for the the spectacle/car wreck of how much we might lose by… I’ve never felt that before as an Orange hoops follower. I don’t even know what to do with that.

Agree. There have been too many games in recent years where I've gone in thinking we have no realistic chance to win, and I'd even say that if we had JJ tonight. I've only been wrong once - UNC last season when everything went right. It didn't used to be like that.

Quick blurb on our guy Dolph Schayes below:

One story stands out: One time, he got submarined and broke the wrist on his shooting hand. When the doctor cast it, Dolph had him leave his fingers out. He never missed a game, and neither his shooting percentage nor his scoring average went down."
We were tougher then

I saw them several years ago, really fun live show.
