JJ / Left Hand Injury

Do either LQA or McCord have any translateble skills? How about any of the wide outs or TE's.

FWIW, I broke my hand at that age in a fall. About 6 weeks and I was completely back to normal. I could use it before that with some pain. I sincerely doubt his season is over but at a guess we're probably looking at 6-8+ games out :(.

Without saying anything bad about Starling (I like him, he’s good), I don’t think this is the death blow it’s being made out to be.
I get where you're coming from and in some regards it helps forcing Red to play Choppa and get another shooter out there. But for us lacking structure, so much was reliant on JJ getting downhill / to the rim. Don't have anyone the roster that can replicate that.

I mean, we were a bad team even with him. But there's just no way around it, he averages 20 points per game and is the guy with the ball in our hands when we need a late game bucket. It's going to be very difficult to replace that production.

Looks like we'll see if Chance can go for more than 2 minutes now.

Horrible loss if true. We need to become a pound it inside team. Next man up.
Yup, whichever guard can get the ball across half court and feed it to the post is the new 37 mpg guy.

It never fails recently. Always what depth we have and it seems to go to hell quickly. It would be nice if Taylor can step up offensively. Good luck Kyle Cuffe!

Right, but the argument is we are not a tournament team with JJ and not a tournament team without JJ.

Will we look worse? Of course
Will we lose more games? Of course

But in the end, the result will be the same no tournament.
Those of us who thought we could make the tournament are significantly more disappointed than that.

I thought we were going to give Tennessee a run for their money and turn it all around today. The clear progress against the Texas teams in Brooklyn is now worth nothing.

If the line goes to 25, take the Cuse.
What a sad commentary on the state of the program
when we loose by 20 and still beat the odds.

If it's his left he could play tonight.

Lampkin or Freeman would've been a bigger loss. Moore can score, defense us automatically better.
Awful news for JJ but I am shockingly positive with the idea of Moore starting, with Cuffe and Westry (?) duking it out for minutes behind him.

This means Carlos starts.

Can he with his shot? With that hitch, it will be a major problem with a broken hand on the left or right.

I had nothing positive to say about that. Who knows, maybe Red will shake things up instead of retreating into his shell...

I actually think this is the beginning of the end for Red Autry. If this season goes down the tank and we're 10 wins total he's gonna have to fix this on the fly, try and retain talent (if there is any to retain), convince guys to come play for a dead man walking HC, and recruit top talent. This ain't an easy task.

I hope Wildhack his binder updated as we speak.
