The original first version of the reseating was absolutely awful and was going to be even worst for folks. But what did Wildhack do? Oh right, he enlisted help and watched and listened to the fans on sites like this and other places to see how the feedback was and made changes.

For example with the points, they put in a legacy bonus for season ticket holders to stop new season ticket holders from gaming the system and stealing long tenured folks seats.

In fact, a majority of football season ticket holders ended up in their same seats IF they wanted them.

Most of the folks that got displaced were folks like myself who were sitting in the new student section.

The impact of this was minimal.

Im critical of Wildhack in many areas and he will be the first to tell you that about me, however, this is one area that John truly listened to the fanbase and tried to do what was right.

If Syracuse wanted to, they could have made a FORTUNE from the reseating, instead they decided to honor long standing season ticket holders the best that they could while also still making some $$$$ to help pay for the upgrades.

If you cant see the difference in the dome from pre-renos idk what to tell you. I for one love going into the Dome and feeling like im actually in a P4 football stadium.

If he wasn’t an alum, he wouldn’t have lasted. Fran preaches accountability. Where is it? We have a lax player playing division one at qb and starting. Accountability? We are LAST in run defense. We have had 3 delay of game penalties today. 0 completions in the first half. Yes, you read that correctly. Keeping Robinson as the d coordinator? Did I mention we are last in the acc in run defense?

This is a great post. I was displaced even with the legacy bonus and I still see the renovations and reseating as a huge net positive. I go to 1-2 away games a year and feel the dome is nicer now than most college stadiums. The center hung scoreboard alone provides an awesome viewing experience. Wildhack deserves no guff on this issue.

My wife has huge sensitivity to flashing lights, not seizures but triggers migraines. Instead of complaining and thinking the world needs to bend to our needs, we moved from 101 the end zone in the back under the overhang.

Probably should have filed an ADA complaint and had them tear out the lights

You can't want better players and complain the school is seeking more money. In 2025, those two go hand in hand.

I think Syracuse has done a pretty reasonable job with the Dome. In the last five years, the fan's experience has gotten way better and costs haven't risen astronomically (mind you Syracuse's expenses have). I do NOT miss the metal bleachers, the center hung is great, air conditioning is too. That new bar behind the student section is cool.

They've also renovated a lot of the facilities, invested a ton in football/basketball staffing and resources and are paying the NCAA maximum in player revenue that any school can.
