John Gruden and Greg Olsen Didn't Like Fran Brown's Antics

And there's a difference between how fans should approach the result of a game and the team. Fans should take some measure of satisfaction with a win. The players should take satisfaction with high effort and execution.
110% correct!

Jon Gruden is a career .500 coach that lucked into a Super Bowl joining a team with an elite defense and 4 hall of famers. Greg Olson has never done anything of note ever except be a league average TE.

Maybe if they held themselves accountable after poor performances they would have done better.
I mean…I don’t care how you or anyone views the postgame stuff, but Olsen very clearly wasn’t just an average tight end.

My favorite part about this whole thing is that it paints us as in a different tier than UConn. We're a real team, and they are a scrub. Real teams are supposed to demolish scrubs. Regardless of how good and well coached UConn really is this year, this reinforces that perception and I'm here for it

Fran is definitely not afraid to take risks and coach it his way. Everything about his hire was unconventional and he is trying different approaches. Some will stick and some will not but I respect how he is looking at things through a different scope. Fran is also willing to take criticism and apply it. I saw him mention how Wildhack and associate AD Herm gave him some things to try to improve his sideline demeanor. He applied them. Today I think you have to be willing to have a growth mindset to be successful. I will give Syracuse a lot of credit for willingness to give him rope to do it how he wants to do it. We have tried other conventional or flavor of the month (orange is the new fast) approaches to it and fell flat. We have a coach who really wants to be here and improve in every aspect of the job. I hope he finds success. I have been critical of Wildhack in the past but the more I see how he gives his people the freedom to do their jobs in the way they see fit and also step in when needed goes a long way with me.

Sorry but an ACC Network Extra game against UConn is not a "national stage"
I guess, man. Instead of being a forgettable win that fades quickly, every talking head on social media is talking about how Syracuse sucks, and if we’re all being honest with each other, this looks like a 4-5 win team. This going to feed into that narrative that we can’t be fixed.

If you are going to pay this kids like professionals than you should treat them like professionals. No one is saying don’t hold them accountable, but there is a reason that this would never be done in the pros

If they want to be treated like pros, they need to act like pros. Sleepwalk through a game and expect consequences.

They could have gone to Manley and run them in the old days. But I don't think that's allowed with the new time limit rules.
