From camp today. Not surprising.
Feel for the guy. He CAN"T say anything.
From camp today. Not surprising.
"Should?" 100%.
Doesn't mean that they will, though.
just a question, how long does the parent of a former player who transferred to a future opponent, that keeps trashing the program, get to post what he wants with impunity on this board. it's purely a hypothetical on my part I was just wondering if that were to occur, what it might mean.
Not silly at all. He is a small time family practitioner put in charge of a major P5 level sports program. He has no idea about how a professional sports Med staff should operate. Amateurish fits the description best.
Call it what you want but the kids and coaching staff deserve much better...and recruiting is now suffering from it. Defending Tucker, now that is silly.
Turn your head and cough. Next.Agree, well stated. Small time family practitioner. No place for such a doc in college fb. BS. Sad, that eligibility decisions are in the hands of 70 yo family practitioners and NOT more progressive docs with ortho and/or neuro backgrounds. These aren't physicals for 10 year old kids.
it could be that the use of the word "impunity" came across the wrong way. i wasn't saying that the moderators should intervene in any way. i was just trying to ask a question, bcubs status in terms of being a poster will change significantly in the next 12 months or so. he is going from parent of a player, to pissed-off-parent-of-an-ex-player, to pissed-off-parent-of-an-ex-player-that-is-now-an-opponent. it seems to me to be pretty unusual. i don't have anything against the guy. he has been pretty negative on the program for several months now, and it could be totally justified (that isn't for me to decide), but at some point we get to question the motives behind the posts as the program move forward right? i was just posing a hypothetical question as to when to we start defending the program against the ex-parent that is trashing it. nothing personal. and what do you mean "punched my ticket"? you can't wear a skirt to the OT boardOh good grief. You of all people shouldn't be calling out any posters about what they post.
The way that you talk to people on the OT board should have punched your ticket a long time ago.
Has he been negative about the whole program? I don't think so. He's been negative about the med staff. Understandable. He's been negative about the tampa 2. Ok, not uncommon on this board over the last year. He's complimented the S&C staff. He's complimented Dino. He's complimented other coaches past and present. He's given positive and negative opinion about players, mostly positive. Sounds like a pretty normal contributor to me.it could be that the use of the word "impunity" came across the wrong way. i wasn't saying that the moderators should intervene in any way. i was just trying to ask a question, bcubs status in terms of being a poster will change significantly in the next 12 months or so. he is going from parent of a player, to pissed-off-parent-of-an-ex-player, to pissed-off-parent-of-an-ex-player-that-is-now-an-opponent. it seems to me to be pretty unusual. i don't have anything against the guy. he has been pretty negative on the program for several months now, and it could be totally justified (that isn't for me to decide), but at some point we get to question the motives behind the posts as the program move forward right? i was just posing a hypothetical question as to when to we start defending the program against the ex-parent that is trashing it. nothing personal. and what do you mean "punched my ticket"? you can't wear a skirt to the OT board.
Why don't we just let you do it since you know best.Agree, well stated. Small time family practitioner. No place for such a doc in college fb. BS. "Some" issues? So what is best for a sports program in your opinion? An old time family practiotiner - seemingly questioned for awhile now - or a state of the art medical staff? Apparently it's so nuanced nobody can tell a difference. Why don't we just let you do it since you know best.
There are clearly some issues with the process but let's not all act like we know what's best because none of us do.

Agreed. And the hard part here, that many seem to be discounting, is the seriousness of these issues. These aren't ankle sprains. We are talking blood clots, heart issues and concussions. These are tough issues. Why don't we just let you do it since you know best.

I don't think anyone is discounting the seriousness of anything. On the contrary, the primary reason for the uproar is that a person that is not an expert in these conditions is 1. sometimes not consulting specialists (see Kyle Knapp) and 2. contradicting the expertise of specialists (see Steven Clark).Agreed. And the hard part here, that many seem to be discounting, is the seriousness of these issues. These aren't ankle sprains. We are talking blood clots, heart issues and concussions. Thank you. Exactly. Suddenly we have a lot of medical experts here. I will just say this, if we ever had a kid die after he was cleared, that would be a neutron bomb on not just the football program but the University as well. Not to mention the tragedy of the young man and his family. I will however admit, that I have no idea what kind of job Dr Tucker does. And I would bet, no one else here does either. Why don't we just let you do it since you know best.

Tragedies happen all the time in college football. Kent State and Ohio U lost a player each this past spring during workouts. Syracuse doesn't want to lose a football player obviously but it wouldn't be unprecedented if one passed away.Thank you. Exactly. Suddenly we have a lot of medical experts here. Too funny!! Tucker and staff are directly responsible for Steven's blood clot issue with the small brace. I don't care how much some of you want to defend Tucker but, "These tough issues" don't seem to be as tough with Dr's that are specialist. Bottom line is that the SU Med staff is a joke and that is all that matters!!Agreed. And the hard part here, that many seem to be discounting, is the seriousness of these issues. You're just going to get obnoxious well you don't know that for a fact posts. Even though you're probably factually correct the other side wants to play that well you can't prove it so it can't be 100% true game.Too funny!! Yeah, I'm aware of all the "It's nobodies fault and just happened" group of posters. For me, I believe that the blame falls fully onto the medical staff. I'm not worried about hurting anyone's feelings, face-to-face or posting on this board. You're just going to get obnoxious well you don't know that for a fact posts. That's exactly it Dash. I don't know how many times it has to be said that Tucker may not be the right guy for us but these folks make these pronouncements in a bubble and exclaim the guy is an amateur etc. it's ridiculous.Thank you. I put my faith in guys like Wildhack to analyze the situation's facts and come to a reasonable conclusion. Not rely on the knee jerk peanut gallery here.Too funny!! Or send another email...You should stop donating to the program. That will send a message.

I can't speak to Allen's issue, other than to say that his claim of being unaware that he'd been DQ'd is completely plausible given my personal experience with med staff, and it is congruent with what has been related to me by others in their dealings with Tucker.Thank you. Yeah it's knee jerk. Congrats for not paying attention as we have been told Coyle was in the process of getting rid of Tucker and making a change in the medical situation.I put my faith in guys like Wildhack to analyze the situation's facts and come to a reasonable conclusion.
