Judah a second round pick from BR

Seriously though . Why does he fall down almost every freaking drive? There are players who go their entire career not falling on a drive unless they are fouled .

And a better passer
I don’t see him as a first round pick, at all. At his size, he needs to have an exceptional skill, which I don’t see. He’s quick, but not super quick. Many of the shots he gets off in college he won’t be able to get off in the NBA. He’s a good bench/role guy, and could do well when matched up rotationally.
Apparently you’ve not been watching Judah or you’re simply clueless. Judah has not only excellent ball handling stills but extraordinary creativity as well when finding his teammates or looking for his buckets. His ability to dribble drive is admired by the nba and his abilities get bucket’s without shooting the 3. And his ability to put pressure on the rim and finish through contact is impressive for a 6’3 182 pounder. And let’s not forget his ability to get to the line. As for your accusations of him flopping, it’s often because he’s taking a lot of tough, off-balanced shots, and sometimes it’s because he actually gets fouled but fails to get the call.

99.9% of Syracuse fans enjoy watching Mintz and know he’s good. Don’t drive yourself crazy coming here, lol.

Thank you for your admirable defense Ms. mintz

Greetings fellow Syracuse fans. Are we talking about Future all star Judah Mintz in here?

That’s funny I can hear myself going nuts.
I’ve been wishing since YouTube was invented, that a real video of the entire event would surface. 2003 phones can’t possibly do the noise level at that event justice.

That’s pretty solid for what I can imagine must be a Nokia Razor flop phone.

So much fun. We were sitting right by the tunnel where they came out.
I was in the upper level - pretty much above where this video was shot from. Had a blast. If I recall, GMac made a crack about Dicky V picking against them, Warrick did the Scott Hall NWO entrance walk, and Boeheim still had that ridiculous hat on.

Ans then Forth had a nice quip on picking the right time go have a good game.

I love Judah and will always root for him wherever he goes, but his decision making and shooting are not yet at an NBA level.

With a sophomore season he could very much push for 1st team All-ACC and maybe even an All-American spot.

I hope we will do whatever it takes NIL wise to convince him to return, but will still be in his corner if he decides to go another route.

He is a special player with incredible confidence and passion. I love watching him play but respectfully think that he needs another year to be best positioned for the show

Guys don't get drafted on their shotmaking though most of the guys in 1st round mocks need to work on it. His form is good. His assist to TO ratio is solid and the mistakes at the end of games were because we had no other play that anyone had confidence but to send him to the hole. JG3 would have been face guarded and JB just can't draw up good plays anymore you might get an Edwards 20 ft fadeaway if he gives it up.

I think his skillset is close enough right now.

This draft is pretty deep late 1st and early 2nd guys are all over the place in various mocks. If I am him I have to know that if I return next year theres gonna be a ton of preseason hype and will likely enter the year a projected lottery pick and would have to regress and not improve to drop. That might be better than going late 2nd to a team with 3 PGs on the roster and sent to the G League on a 2 way deal.

But theres a 2 way deal for him out there if Buddy and Swider got them.

I won't pretend to know what the NBA thinks of Judah, nor how they make their decisions quite often, but I will say that for better or for worse the evaluation tends to be a projection so whether a player is ready or not just doesn't seem to be that much of a factor.

No idea what he'll do -- i know people hate it but i wouldn't be totally shocked if some school with deep pockets tries to lure him away with a big NIL promise -- but I will say the G-League has become a more reasonable place for players to develop and the level of coaching in the NBA in general seems to be significantly better across the board (not a shot at JB or anyone, just watching how quickly many of these kids improve is crazy).

All those options lead me to believe he gone, but I think a strong case could be made for a return so it's not something to rule out like it would have been for Melo.

I read on a Facebook discussion of Mintz he said he is going to the NBA after this year. Has anyone heard or read this ...Ihope not

I think he’s a great player, but he has a lot to work on still. Coming back for his sophomore year would be great for him. But obviously the decision isn’t up to me lol.

He's not quite as strong or great of an athlete(not a knock) but he reminds me so much of Derrick Rose. Their Freshman numbers are very similar too. The ability to finish through contact at weird angles and the toughness/competitiveness are very similar in their games.

The guy that got MVP his third year, 1st overall pick, ROY and 3 all star appearances his first 4 years? That Derrick Rose?

Derek Rose had extra terrestrial level athleticism. You can argue he’s the most athletic PG of all time. Literally. No one could stay in front of him. No one.

Look at the Teague brothers for a more apt comparison maybe.
