Like who?I'd hope we can attract someone higher profile.

If the staff is confident Judah's gone at this point, I'd like to see them take the NIL money set aside for Judah and try one last time to bait Justin Moore into the portal.Like who?
Feels like he’a made up his mind, regardless of the combine outcome…I know everyone is saying Judah will kill it at the combine and now expects him to not come back but what if he has trouble shooting there or he gets universal feedback he needs to get stronger, work on finishing his drives better and come back to school?
Syracuse is in a hard place right now.

Are we top 10? We gonna win 30 games? He didn’t get beat up this year. He won’t get beat up next year when we have better talent.
He also hedges a bit and says “he doesn’t plan to come back to school.” Plans change. We’ll see what happens at the combine.
If I'm an NBA team I'm on the fence on this kid. If he doesn't find a shot, he doesn't make it. Hés quick as heck but without a shot and given his lack of size he won't make it going to the hole against NBA talent. He HAS to show he can shoot.I know everyone is saying Judah will kill it at the combine and now expects him to not come back but what if he has trouble shooting there or he gets universal feedback he needs to get stronger, work on finishing his drives better and come back to school?

Agreed. Teams will simply play off him and force him to shoot. On D he is small and can be a liability as he isn't physical. His gift is speed, vision and a great handle. I think that he will be drafted but I predict mid to late second round.I remember how he really struggled against Miami’s quick guards. It will be interesting to see how he does against a court full of athletic players. We‘ll see how much success he has getting around people and then finishing. One thing will stand out with Judah. He’s competitive as hell and he won’t back down.

I am in the minority here. I think Mintz will have a lot of trouble in the NBA. He's too slight of build, and he isn't Iverson, which is what it takes to be a star when you're 170 lbs in the NBA. Guys like Smart from the Celtics are going to bump him off the ball all game and he's going to be stuck on the perimeter instead of penetrating. When he does get into the lane, his dipsy doodle shots and layups that work so well for him in college are going to get blocked, and the calls he gets from ACC officials will be no called. If I'm an NBA team I'm on the fence on this kid. Iverson is the only skinny guard who I can remember getting knocked about and taking a lot of falls but more than thrived in the NBA. But, Iverson is very special. There's a long list of talented players who put in the time and effort, years of hard work, and only need one more year for continued development but throw it all away for instant gratification. He needs to shoot better and get a lot stronger before he's am NBA player. I don't know if he's a AAAA player, but he's got a long way to go before he's an NBA rotation player.
Now, are these things he can change? Maybe. It's hard to put on huge bulk in a year or two, but we've all seen skinny guys get jacked, so why not Mintz?

The guard position in the NBA is so competitive and it is easy to get lost amidst all the other talented players vying for a few open spots. Looking at this year's Combine list and the lists from recent past years, it's pretty much the same - a few guaranteed first rounders who won't show up or who'll show up and do the bare minimum and a bunch of guys on the cusp, taking a chance to get one of the few extra spots on an NBA roster. I hope we are trying to sell Judah on coming back by offering him an NIL package that would be in line with what a 2nd rounder or 2 way player would receive.
It worked for this year's MVPDoes the NBA want you on the floor after every layup?
I'm not sure you're actually in the minority. It seems to me that most people are skeptical, hence him being seen as a 2nd round pick.I am in the minority here. Judah is a very good shooter. He just struggled for a couple months at Syracuse. He'll be able to shoot 3s in the NBA. The transition won't be seamless, but he'll get there sooner rather than later.I'm not sure you're actually in the minority. It seems to me that most people are skeptical, hence him being seen as a 2nd round pick.
He's a tough one because he came into college with a reputation as a good shooter in the mid-range and his jumper didn't really start to go down until the very end of the season. You're right that if he legitimately can't shoot, he's almost certainly not going to pan out in the NBA. I'm also always a bit skeptical of guys that have to work as hard as he does to get good shots off; I tend to view things like selling pump-fakes, being able to just keep defenders off-balance with his unique hesitations and stuff as the sorts of little things that can take you from being a good player to a great one, but I'm not sure how comfortable I am with someone that legitimately needs to depend on it to create his looks.
Having said that, finding guys that have the touch around the rim that he does is very difficult. Finding guys that are as good at drawing fouls as he is is very difficult. And I think he showed plenty of flashes in terms of his passing and defense to potentially be excited about. I think if he can keep defenses honest with his jumper, the driving game will be effective for him in the NBA but that's a big if. For me, he's the type of guy I'd like to take a flier on at the end of the first round; if my Bucks ended up with a late 1st round pick this year for some reason, I'd be happy to take him. But I'd be lying if I said I was confident that his game will translate to the NBA.
