its not dooms day until we get to mid october.. We could win the next 4 because none of these teams is really very good even if we arent either.

If you told me before the season started that we'd be 3-1 heading into FSU, I would have signed up for that.

If that were to happen now, I'd be estatic.

Big ifs, but the season isn't lost yet.

You guys remember 2012? We were 2-4 (with a mind numbingly bad loss to rutgers) after 6 weeks. That was after losing 5 straight to finish 2011. Calls for Marrones job were just as loud as the ones for Dinos right now. That team then went on a 5-1 run to end the season.

Now lets be real this isn't the big east. We do not have Yukon or Temple on the schedule but with that being said the ACC is down this year. FSU is still a mess, Louisville has looked bad, BC lost their starting QB, NC State lost a key defensive piece also.

There is a lot of season left and lets maybe not hit the panic button till at least week 6.

We are playing a SUNY school this week. Nobody give's two craps about this game. I'd be focused on Sat if we were playing anyone other than an FCS opponent this week. It's as bad as a bye for fans, the sting of last Sat will resonate beyond a W this Sat. That's why I think people are still complaining. I'll be done when we can start worrying about Liberty next week(can't believe I just said that).

I'm glad to see college football so a FCS team doesn't bother me. My concern is that this game feels a little like the '14 Villanova game where Cuse won 27 - 26 in OT.

Maybe I only speak for myself, and so be it, but I think we are past using the record as an indicator to change coaches and/or staff. To me, cuse fans are unfortunately used to non bowl records. The main issue for me, and a lot of the posts I see are about the stagnate offense, the recruiting and development of those recruited players over 4-5 years, and the basic interaction with fans that truly love this team. Everyone understood "belief without evidence" but year 6 without evidence is frustrating. Again, this may only be me.

There are teams with worse Ds that we will do better on O against. There are teams with much worse STs that won't have us starting in a hole. If our D plays well the Ws are possibly there. That being said I think 4-8 is what we are looking at.

This is right. There are some pretty weak defenses on the schedule (BC and Louisville come mind).

That's not a bad comparison, but Marrone's offense was more competent in that six game stretch than what we've seen from Dino's so far.

Bump. The fact that people are STILL bringing up the Rutgers loss is troubling. It’s football, let it go. This team was never going undefeated for a chance to be in the playoff. They have won twice since then and the ACC is weak sauce.

No. Unless you have the secret of time travel and can go back and undo the atrocities of that game, it happened. Unfortunately, it will likely keep happening.

We can enjoy the win without living in a state of fantasy.
