Just like last year

I disagree. The seller has responsibility. It's not that hard to post tickets on here and at least make an effort to sell within the SU community. If that doesn't work, then I can see selling to someone responsible. This is not only about what's best for you and your wallet - there's also SU athletics to consider (IF you're a fan at all), as well as the game experiences of your seat neighbors.
OK - so what if the person you know to be responsible is also a good friend but a fan of the opposing team. Can you sell to him and still be a real fan? If not, does this make you less of a friend to the one you won't sell too?

So not only do they have to pass the Syracuse fan quiz but you want them to pass a responsibility quiz in lieu of that. Anything else? Oy vey!!!

Can we please post the rules and regulations those of us who re-sell our tickets need to abide by?

And I like how we now have to consider SU Athletics. I am sure they do the same for us when they set the ticket prices, beer prices, concession stand prices, etc.

This thread keeps getting better. Please continue.

Mock all you want. I think you guys that scalp for rival fans to maximize your profit are selfish and inconsiderate. Maybe you don't like how it feels when you get called out.

Hey if you're not a fan, and you don't care about the people that sit near you (and have to put up with the jeering and drunkenness of the clowns you sell to from opposing teams) .. then scalp away -- they're your tickets! No need to waste (more) space in this thread.

It just seems strange that people like you troll on SyracuseFAN.com, or use the tem, "Cuse" as part of their nic.

I disagree with a lot reedny says, but in fairness, my brother is a Celtics season ticket holder and he can lose his tickets if sells to someone who abuses TD Garden policies. My main point is that I agree fans shouldn't have to deal with others fans breaking venue policies. But that's quite different from not liking having opposing fans present. Opposing fans are part of the game and in many ways make it more enjoyable.

That's a valid point; and I enjoy welcoming other fans to the Dome and being a good ambassador for SU. All the same, I want the Dome packed with all the SU fans we can get in there. Some opposing fans that get in behave. In other cases, however, rowdies (as in the example I cited above at the Clemson game) can make the nearby PAYING SU fans miserable. I would simply SUGGEST (not tell) that potential sellers keep this in mind ... and remember that their seat neighbors ALSO PAY for the right to enjoy the game. The easiest way to protect them (and help SU) is to keep your tickets within the SU community -- you can always post the tickets on this board.

Funny I saw them and wasn't annoyed at how they got tickets - I was annoyed at them.

It was pretty obvious that none of them go / went to Duke or for that matter ever stepped foot in Durham.

Reminded me of Cowboy fans that are as Texas as Bees.

I didn't go to Syracuse or live in Syracuse (Buffalo) but have been a fan since I was 8, does it make me less of a fan?

Dammit people!!

Move LSU to Giants Stadium right the now.

And next years dook/unc game should be at MSG.

Done with their nonsense.

Dr. Gross is way ahead of you

If it is such a problem, why not set up a ticket exchange on the board for SU fans to sell to other SU fans?

there is one here already when people make their tin cup posts begging for tickets to premium games

I'd rather sit next to that than have to sit next to the johnny jerkoff SU fan who sat next to me who literally complained from tipoff to the buzzer about how we dont use our players right, how our coaching staff sucks and every other thing he pissed and moaned about. I wanted to kill this kid and he was an SU fan. Plus he got up at least 5 times to go buy beer which by the 5th time I almost threw him off the upper level.

Blue Curtain sat next to you?

Reed, I agree absolutely completely!

My wife and I live 6.5 hours from the Dome. We get to, on average, 5 games a year. We also travel to away games. No matter what, we only sell our seats to people on this board or close friends who are SU fans. We'd also rather give our seats to fans than sell to non fans. I guess that makes me a moron...so be it...

We are not only supplying fans from other teams tickets, we are arguing amongst ourselves.

This makes me sad. Where does it end?

Why don't we hold the Dome Ticket Office accountable? They're the ones selling tickets to people that are selling tickets to opposing fans... or even worse, selling tickets directly to fans of opposing teams!

That makes you a conscientious SU supporter ... a concept that seems foreign to the selfish scalpers who jumped on this thread. Great to hear from you.

Hey maybe we can relaunch the pay side and call it the REALcuseFanZone:

In addition to paying you must:
(1) Swear a blood oath of loyalty to Jim Boeheim
(2) Sign a contract that you will never sell a season ticket through StubHub and never miss a home game, regardless of circumstances.

Hot Topics could include:
* Strategies for attacking anyone that is remotely critical any aspect of Boeheim's coaching
* REAL fan metrics, are you a real fan?
* The Poors; how can we keep them from buying season tickets?

The pay side doesn't need a re-launch if it never went away...
