Kadary transferring to Seton Hall

Kadary has skills you can’t easily teach and take years to develop. That lightning quick crossover and those nasty hesitation and spin moves. Woo boy! Honestly, only Flynn had the dynamic dribbling skills that Kadary has, though MCW, Scoop, Ennis and Gbinije were pretty good too. Ennis was a really good PG but a bit too methodical for my liking. Kadary also has visionary passing skills similar to MCW. Losing him and Marek is really gonna hurt in getting the offense to flow. I don’t see Torrence as having anywhere near Kadary’s ability to break guys down off the dribble.

But what was truly special about him was his anticipation in the zone. I don't care what JB says, Kadary played it better than I've seen a guard play up there in a long time. The top of the zone won't be close to what it could have been with him next year.

Just my opinion but I think he went to Seton Hall because its close to NYC and it was the option where he had to do the least to earn the most playing time.

I have no illusions that there weren’t top 25 programs reaching out in the portal to him. He didn’t choose Seton Hall because itd help him become a better player, or because he’d be on a more competitive team.

If true, it’s fair. These kids want an easy path to the NBA with the least resistance. He made a personal decision/bet on himself. I’ll root for him still unless we meet in March.

I'm asking this 100% sincerity, genuineness & no malice. If that's a truly honest assessment of Kadary, why hasn't he gotten any type of look from NBA, like at all?

he also pulled joe and ripped him multiple times as well

there were very few times that I saw him put Kadry on blast
He probably had less plays that warranted a blast. Because he was the best point guard.

Who's on their roster for next year? Is he stepping into a starting role?

It would be helpful if Griff announced soon. I think that would at minimum put another wing or guard as a reasonable move before the portal talent dries up.

Assuming Griff and Marek do as expected you have

joe, Symir, buddy, Benny, Cole, Jesse, Bourama. That is 7 guys. Add in Frank and Jimmy Jr and we are still only at 9. I just don't see anyway we go into the season with only 9 guys unless you count Chaz too but right now he is a glorified walk on.

Obviously Q could return as well but given his age...

what?
Boeheim made a big thing about Kadary’s plus/minus rating after one game, because Pat the radio caller and the 5’2 Twitter writer had pissed Boeheim off by saying Kadary should play more.

I think until they announce otherwise, you've got to assume they're leaving and plan accordingly. Even if they tell the staff they're staying and not the world, I would be skeptical if I were one of the assistants who have to do all the digging for talent and recruiting.

there are 1000+ guys in the portal, I’m sure they can find depth if they want to

I really really really want Joe to kill it next year so we are good, but I think we need another difference making player and that’s really everyones issue right now. Fans want to go 24-7, not 19-12. Glad we finished in the top 25 again, but it appears we are going backwards.

He was getting looked at by NBA teams already.

I like him more than Joe. But the guy that I admit knows more than me doesn't agree with that. And I believe we will have a good team next year.
What are you talking about? It seems like when you say you like KR better than Joe, you are talking about in a basketball sense, right? But then are you still in that mode when you say JB doesn't agree with you? Because I think that is a poor conclusion to draw.

Players have to earn their time here all the time. It's not simply who is playing better at the moment. Seniority counts. Actions count. They can be overcome but it is a process.

KR had a trajectory in front of him that had an MCW look to it. KR needed to show an ounce of delay of gratification, and accept his promotion into the role. He didn't want to do that. Truth be told, MCW might not have either if he had the early out option. Remember MCW had the embarrassing moment of the department store mishap, much like KRs unfortunate event. It is a easier to run from things like that, than it is to hang in there and accept responsibility and ride it out.

It's unfortunate to lose KR. But people who keep promoting this idea that JB couldn't see the value of KR, or was playing favorites with JG3, generally have a predisposition to JB hate. That explains a lot of the negativity here, but not from you - you are a solid poster.
