You are correct. But there is more than one way to skin a cat. Not that I am saying that you want to skin a cat. There is certainly no evidence that you have ever skinned a cat. I think we can build powerful teams building it our way. We have done it. Our '12 team played great defense. Different, but great. Get me a few more 5 stars in the class of '22 and I will get back to you. And the crazy thing is, we just might.
Yeah I should have clarified...I was referring to 2021.

2022 looks fantastic. I’m thrilled. Feels like they are getting back to recruiting ZONE guards.

The fact that you just compared the Syracuse roster of the past 3 years to the roster of Baylor says a lot. Bad take cousecouse.
Just using it as a well know example. What they are going to now is different than what I would describe as their previous 2 styles of play. Originally, Boeheim ran a wide open transition style, that was during the 80's and 90's. Then, a slower iso-style with long possessions and focus on defense. That lasted until just recently. During those periods there was usually 1 dedicated 3 point shooter on floor. Now they put perimeter threats all over and they shoot from 3 often.

I want him
I miss him
Sorry
That’s not the right venue for him
I want that man on stage clicking butt for all to see

Just curious, does the Lands verbal take any sting away from the Kadary leaving? We did land Cole Swider who I must admit, I always liked. We also have the Symir Torrence verbal who I must admit, I have never been all that high on. I said it a while back, like the portal, hate the portal, but things are going to be more interesting for us college fan fanatics going forward. Not that Lands is in the portal (God forbid ever).
Not for me, but I've learned to never trust in the 'potential' of players who aren't close to actually being here yet. I'll evaluate Kamari when I see him play in an orange and white uniform.

This so called party that was thrown that got Woody mostly and others in trouble. I want to know who snitched. Hope it wasnt somebody on the team. Btw ridiculous to get into trouble for such thing. Idc if its during a pandemic and there might been some underage drinking happens all across the country.
Well, you do seem to be an expert on Covid-era parties.

You watched Baylor and think “shooting team“. Interesting.
[/QUOTE]
They have 4 guys that shoot it better than 40 pct. They do everything.well but they are a great shooting team.

He wants to win a NC not be a plucky team that can win some postseason games but not be a threat to win it all.

Like Syracuse used to behave.
??? (Apologies of this is covered in the 13 pages I still need to get through). He doesn’t care about winning a NC. He wants to showcase himself. If he does that next year, he’ll be gone from there next year. Good for him. That team could be better than us next year but he doesn’t care about them any more than he cared about syracuse. And honestly, that’s fine with me. It’s business. But that’s all it is.

Lol. We lose like 13 games every year. Lots of programs are “somewhere near us” these days.

We ain’t exactly going 30-5 and beating anybody out there as often as they beat us these days. We’re mediocre and the top programs beat us like 75% of the time. That’s “Hall” territory.

Sorry. I hate it too. But I’m not going to deny it.
If you’re going to insist on people conceding Richmond is better than Girard (and Torrence), you should do the same with us and the Hall.

Wasn't Hall ranked 15th just last year? When was the last time we cracked the Top 25?
This isn't a decision that factors in Seton Hall history for the past 30 years. Kadary will be there for no more than 3 more years—that's the range of time he has to deal with. He goes 'home,' he obviously didn't like something about his situation with us, and he has more confidence in the SH situation, whether right or wrong—there's no way to know. All he can trust is what he has already experienced.

I wish him luck, hope he kills it in Jersey, and thrives in the NBA.
Today.

We are a better program than Hall historically.
It’s not close.

We are also a better program historically than Virginia and they have been better than for 7+ years as well.

If you want to concede our program isn’t the same program it used to be and the expectations should be lowered then the frustration would go away.

Just admit we aren’t a big dog anymore.

Right now our program is closer to Seton Hall than it is Virginia.

It doesn’t mean either program has the history we have.

We all know we are better than Hall alltime. If we start having 24-7 seasons then we would be what a lot of people pretend we still are.
A top 4 ACC team and top 25 team.

Just admit the program standards should be less and people frustration should go away.

My point was that we’re roughly on the same level the last 5 years. Similar records. Similar seeds in the dance. Yes, we’ve had much more tourney success, even though the seeds were about the same. I think I said if we play 10 times, we probably win 6.

Other than a brief 2-3 year stretch(early 90s, Terry Dehere era), Seton Hall was never close to our level for the 30 years or so that we spent in the same league.

We should concede Seton Hall is better?

The roster structure and style of play for Syracuse has changed over the last 3 years. They are really turning into a shooting type of team. Someone must have convinced Boeheim that the numbers work out better. Kind of like Baylor. Joe is there to shoot, and I don't think we've seen him really get on tract yet.
Baylor offense is really good but their defense is years ahead of ours and as I said before we couldn’t score 50 points on them sadly.

Put the Hall in the ACC and us in the Big East. Same results?

Does anyone know of a promise from Jim to Joe that he would always start. The kid is a great 3rd guard. He is not a starter on a good team. Now if his hands were always up on defense and he was a great passer I get it. Just don’t get it.

I read this to the tune of a Depeche Mode song and it was fantastic.

We haven’t finished above 6th since 2014.

I think they could average finishing 8th. Which has been our average.

I don’t think we would have a won a BET since 2014.

Seton Hall has one tourney win in the last 17 years. We have 9 in the past few years.
