Is that still including the preseason guesses about how good teams would be, or is that only including the games actually played this season?

Not sure - I would assume its based on how his system ranks the teams currently (so it still has some preseason weighting). I don't think the variance would be wide either way on SOS as it balances out.

Bart Torvik non preseason data went from 13 to 34. That’s what happens when you only win by 5 against a sub 200 team. But it is what it is. Team got a wake up call tonight and have a gauntlet coming up.

It’s either a wake up call or we’ll find that we’re just not that good. Finding out soon enough.

She's also just saying its a loss...and we still had a big jump in the Kenpom rankings. That is unusual for most sports rankings.

I expect it will be very similar to our game with them. With that said this is the first challenge Tennessee has gotten all year and now Houston has had both Auburn as well as us.

Rutgers stinks though. They lost to Central Connecticut by 13, beat American by 9, and Lehigh/Maine by 12.

I don't know how they determine game 3 matchups, but I would be surprised if that was the matchup if we lost in OT to Houston and then beat Kansas. Would think they would match us up against a better opponent.

One of my favorite tournament games of recent years was 2nd round of I believe 2023 (Scheyer's first season as HC). Tennessee literally beat the hell out of Duke.

Central Connecticut is not in the Players Era tourney. Rutgers played Tennessee yesterday in this tourney.
