By the letter of the law it seems like a difficult path for thim to even be eligible for this special window. It is intended solely for athletes that would lose their roster spots due to the House provision that limits the rosters to 105. Spirit of the ruling was to give walkons who would be cut under the original House provisions a chance to transfer once the settlement was approved.

There is another pre-existing clause to transfer rules that allows a player who has lost his scholarship the ability to transfer immediately, but with P4 schools guaranteeing football scholarships for four years, it takes either academic issues or a pretty egregious violation for a scholarship to be rescinded.

Reddit had some interesting comments on him. I remember how exciting his signing was, so this is disappointing, but he might have some family/inner circle baggage because he never got a real look from FSU despite apparently openly asking for one.

They are likely referring the main college football subreddit “r/CFB.”

There is a thread titled “Syracuse Edge KingJoseph Edwards has entered the transfer portal” - there is pretty much always a thread created when a player commits or transfers.

Not many comments or much in there other than what has been speculated on here.

Although someone did quip that they didn’t know that “Edge King” was a position, which I found amusing.

I do not think he said they would not be good players. His post was in response to a poster saying they were the top three recruits in the class last year. There numbers and contributions did not show they were the top three recruits other than Watson. Willis and Kerr were more productive. A lot of other players got similar numbers as KJE and Barnes. Both might develop in to great players but they were not one of the best last year based on production.

My point still holds, no conclusion on who are the best players are or aren't at that point makes any sense.
