Replacing 6'0 and 6'2 Guards across our roster with 6'5-6'6 I just don't see how we can't improve defensively just by the length on defense. Insanity was trying to press with Carlos and Cuffe which we did a few times.

Cuffe was a great kid and good teammate, but he was very good at very few things. Good defender but fouled all the time. Poor shooter and passer with a below handle. Could drive but not finish. If he wants minutes he is going to need to move down a level.

I think it’s possible Cuffe joins his dad alma mater at St. John’s. He fits Pitino’s system as a reserve guard. he’s a good on ball defender and tough city player

Wish him the best but won’t miss his irrational exuberance about his ability to get to the basket and/or dunk. I’m think he has the lowest fg percentage going to the basket in program history. Plus six foot guards who can’t hit threes consistently are of limited use.

Cuffe was in the group of three players I was reasonably confident would stay.

If he's gone, then I agree -- might only have 2 returnees from last year's team.

I think it is more likely that Cuffe got the talk.

He can play at this level, but his minutes have been inconsistent. He also isn't a point guard.

I think Cuffe can be a starter somewhere, figured that he might leave around mid-season, but then he got a bit more consistent PT. But this doesn't surprise me. Could see him killing it shifting down a level.
