Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

Stock in your eyes or stock in other peoples eyes? Just to play devils advocate, how many defenses did McCord face that were comparable to what Allar faced this year?

If McCord does truly have NFL starting potential he should be trucking these barely top 50 defenses we played and blowing up the stat sheets. Allar on the other hand is running offenses and having to make plays against top 10 defenses. That's what NFL scouts look at too.

As always I have to always say I agree McCord is a better QB than the rest of the hacks in this draft but people have to take off the orange colored glasses.

I'm pretty sure McCord blew up the stat sheet and you must forget his record against those same Big 10 defenses that you're giving credit to Allar. Who by the way is terrible. Pedo won in spite of him because they have an A+ running game and defense.

I'd also be a little surprised if we used money earmarked for Kyle on players in this portal. Maybe shaving off a little bit to close a few guys who are already targets, but guessing it'll be more of a "save it for next year's portal and the '26 recruiting class"
I was under the impression that a lot of Kyle's money was from a few big donors moteso than the collectives. If that's the case, I would think it's not as simple as moving it to next year or another player(s). Don't we have to consult with the donors to see how they prefer to spend it?

We aren’t talking about a player deciding to commit or transfer somewhere. It’s a clear cut yes, no, or haven’t heard back to the waiver getting approved by the ncaa. Those with sources said one thing and the school said another. That’s what I’m curious about, and I’m allowed to inquire on it
You said you wanted “accountability”. That is different from inquiring about the change. Maybe you misspoke.

Dungey gave us a 10 win season and win over Clemson, too. An equally great year, but in a different way.
He gave us both of those, but they were in different years. We should've had them during the 10 win year, if not for a BS ineligible downfield call.

I don’t remember exactly now but I don’t think it was so much the inquiry but how you went about it.

Other than Melo i don't know of any athlete in the history of Syracuse University athletics that has made a greater contribution to SU.
Kyle led us to one of the greatest seasons we have had in the last 20 or more years. He has led a complete culture change within the program and has completely changed to National sports narrative of Syracuse football from a negative to one of relevance.
He has put us back on the map, back in the conversation.
All while carrying himself as the definition of leader.
As far as I'm concerned he is the single most important " Event" that I can remember at SU since Melo leading us to the National Championship. Can't wait to watch him in the NFL.
Eric Dungey

I suppose I am biased, but I think Kyle is at worst the 4th best QB on the board. I think Ward is better than Sanders too.
agreed. worst case you argue fifth but even that is suspect. I dont see how Ewers has the accuracy to be that successful in the NFL. He floats a ton of passes.

The NFL has jumped the shark with mobile QB’s at the expense of other skills. We aren’t that far away from Tom Brady dominating the league with accuracy standing like a statue.

if ewers played for a lower level team and threw like he did this year he wouldnt not even get drafted.

He had tons of passes to wide open guys based on the system and the talent.
