I caught the end of ACC PM with Mel Kiper and I think he said Kyle will go in the second round and Allen and Gadsgen will go in the third. He raved about all three of them.
He looked good. I hadn't watched any Ohio St prior to the NC game, part of my SEC/B1G TV boycott. He was more mobile than I realized.Did you watch the national championship? He basically dominated the no 1 or 2 d in CFB…he throws it well, runs it well and is big. He’s like a better version of Trevor Lawrence imo
I still don't get the Fullback/H-Back thing. It's all Tight Ends. But then there's also a Tight Ends top 10 list with all different tight ends.
Yeah I guess they fit the definition of an H-back. It's the fullback part that's throwing me for a loop.

sounds like he hadn't watched us, got some game type, and realized what a cool offense we had this year.I caught the end of ACC PM with Mel Kiper and I think he said Kyle will go in the second round and Allen and Gadsgen will go in the third. He raved about all three of them.
How do you know how good I think he is? All I said was that he looked good in that game.Howard is good but not quite as good as you think.
Why because he played for the best team? Howard won't be good in the NFL.Interesting list but I’d have Will Howard No 1. And I don’t think there is a close second. Maybe Ward
They will go all in on JJ McCarthy is darnold is goneIf Darnold leaves Minnesota I think that's an interesting landing spot. Seattle as well.
Ha. That part of it was meant more for AZOrange who said he is a better version of a current NFL 4 year starter at QB.How do you know how good I think he is? All I said was that he looked good in that game.
It seems like people think any post that doesn't insult Howard is a slight to McCord. Why is that?
I don't disagree. I'm just saying it's a great franchise to develop as a QB. Really good staff and gives him flexibility. They will go all in on JJ McCarthy is darnold is gone
Again, all I said was that I was surprised by the mobility he had in that game. As I said in the first post, that is the only OSU game I watched all year. My comments were not about how good I think he is, only how he looked in that game. Just one game. I never said he was Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. I wouldn't draw concrete conclusions about how good he is based on that one game anymore than I would about McCord by watching only the Pitt game.Ha. The stuff about his mobility was directed more to you. I quoted you both in my post so i get the confusion.
OK. You seem to be getting defensive and I think you are misinterpreting my response and tone. I obviously shouldn't have lumped two quotes into one post. I agree with what you are saying. His rushing looked impressive especially considering the competition. I was just trying to point out, that was by far his best rushing production of the season. Although it was on 57 yds on 16 carries (including 2 sacks).Again, all I said was that I was surprised by the mobility he had in that game. I'm not defensive. It's just weird when people respond to a post completely outside of its context.OK. You seem to be getting defensive and I think you are misinterpreting my response and tone. Will Howard 2024 Stats per Game - NCAAF - ESPN
Best O Line in CFB ?? Not even close, they were missing an All-American LT who got injured in the first Oregon game and the 2024 Rimington Trophy winner who was lost in the Indiana game. They have had a patchwork O-line for the entire CFP run. Only the G turned LT was even considered a top tier player.I watched the 1st half. The best O line in CFB will make a lot of QBs look good.
Reflecting back on what McCord was in 2024 and Howard was in 2024. At the end of the season, McCord was an Elite passer, average runner. Howard was a very good passer and very good runner. Also, Howard may very well be a much better passer than what he showed. He showed more in the playoffs and he was super accurate, but it’s kind of tough to judge when your receiver were constantly 1 to 2 steps ahead. McCord threw into a ton of tight windows throughout the season.Best O Line in CFB ?? That said McCord is definitely the better passer, but Howard is much more mobile. Both are proven winners though.
McCord was not an average runner. He's below average at best if you compare him to most QBs in 2024. I'm extremely high on the guy but any time he had to run I was holding my breathReflecting back on what McCord was in 2024 and Howard was in 2024. On this we agree. Gino Toretta comes to mind.McCord was not an average runner. He's below average at best if you compare him to most QBs in 2024. I'm extremely high on the guy but any time he had to run I was holding my breath
I think I give the average runner rating because he exceeded my very low expectations in his running game going into last season.McCord was not an average runner. Devito was a faster runner, but an underrated part of what made McCord good is his pocket presence. He was usually able to feel and escape trouble and avoid negative plays (Pitt game being the exception).McCord was not an average runner. and Day gets firedIf the playoffs weren't expanded this year Howard goes undrafted.
If "ifs & buts" were cherries and nuts every day would be christmasIf the playoffs weren't expanded this year Howard goes undrafted.
Cherries and nuts lolIf "ifs & buts" were cherries and nuts every day would be christmas
I’m going to have to question that. Just yesterday I was looking at the HS scouting report of Kyle McCord from our board favorite recruiting analyst, Brian Dohn. It is amazingly pretty friggin accurate. Thought it was interesting how even back then his QB play was pegged to a T and is exactly the same now. Also on there was his 40 time of 5.07 seconds from the opening regional.I thought Kyle was surprisingly quick, certainly quick enough for when he would run.
