He's making something challenging look easy, given that these practices involve guys he's never played with, running plays he has on his wrist with very little prep. Didn't watch the West QBs, but the other East QB's (#7, #8) clearly aren't on the same level. LOL to Sanders not participating. It's not totally unexpected given that he's projected high in the first round (Giants eyeing him). But still .. what's he afraid of (KM?).Kyle McCord, messes around and found himself in the first round.
This may be reminiscent of Jeff George, overhyped, refused to work out with others, held private workouts: Fantastic measurables, zero intangibles, gained a big dollar contract and was a colossal flop. He's making something challenging look easy, given that these practices involve guys he's never played with, running plays he has on his wrist with very little prep. I think he’s smart to not compete at these events. Best case, he reinforces the already lofty evaluation of his skills, which doesn’t necessarily improve his draft position. Worst case, he is exposed and drops like a rock. This may be reminiscent of Jeff George, overhyped, refused to work out with others, held private workouts: Fantastic measurables, zero intangibles, gained a big dollar contract and was a colossal flop.
I think Sanders may not be the head case that George was but Sanders was not sufficient to make everyone around him better the same was McCord does. Like you said, "What's he afraid of?"
You are probably correct from a marketing perspective. However, from a competitive perspective, this makes Sanders appear afraid to compete.I think he’s smart to not compete at these events. What have most of the recent high end prospects done? Daniels, Burrows, Fields, etc.You are probably correct from a marketing perspective. However, from a competitive perspective, this makes Sanders appear afraid to compete.
Going back to Jeff George, he was highly regarded out of college, but when he could have been exposed, he refused. It will be interesting to see how the pro scouts interpret his inactions and his hype. For his sake, I hope Sanders proves up, especially if the Giants are really high on him. Nevertheless, I remain skeptic, partly because of his father's self-hype capabilities and partly because Sanders didn't make others better like McCord.

Apparently he was asked to not play and I guess that extends to workouts. Seems a bit strange but I guess they don’t want him to get hurt. This may be reminiscent of Jeff George, overhyped, refused to work out with others, held private workouts: Fantastic measurables, zero intangibles, gained a big dollar contract and was a colossal flop.

Understandable. However, his quotation is interesting: “I’m not ducking. I ain’t hiding. I’m right here live in the flesh.” In the flesh but not on the field - doing a lot of talking (chip off the old block). It's fine. BOL to him. I'm rooting for Kyle.Apparently he was asked to not play and I guess that extends to workouts. Seems a bit strange but I guess they don’t want him to get hurt.
Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, won't participate in practice or play in the East-West Shrine Bowl. Furthermore, each of the teams selecting in the top three of the draft (Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Brownsand New York Giants) asked Sanders not to play, supporting a decision he had previously made, according to Yahoo Sports.

I haven't looked it up but I don't believe the top QB's usually play in the post season all star bowls any more. I am pretty sure none of them said they would play in one and then go to it and opt out of practicing or playing but pretending they are part of it any how. Whatever team draft Sanders is delaying their come back for at least 3 years. What have most of the recent high end prospects done? Daniels, Burrows, Fields, etc.

I think I saw it's at 8pm on NFL Network. What channel and time on the 30th is the game?
To wit Charles Barkley during the NCAA tournament.Love when the NFL guys that somehow don't watch a game of college football during the regular season all of the sudden start giving their opinions. I never understand that.

To be fair, he was careful with his language and did use the word "appear". He was talking about appearances, at least that's how I read it.That's laughable if you're serious. I mean, how many guaranteed top 5 NBA picks go to the combine? Why would a consensus Top 5 NFL draft pick, and probable #1, no worse than #3, take any risk ($$$) whatsoever. It would be amazingly foolish, and anyone that would advise him otherwise should be fired in a heartbeat.
You being any attorney, think of it this way. Would you ever advise against bifurcating a trial case where the liability against your client is nil, however the damages are catastrophic? And, in a pure comparative negligence state. Or, would you say screw it, because you don't want to come across as afraid and not confident in your skills.
Really makes no difference and that was understood by the comparison to the top 5 NBA prospects. Besides Sanders was told not to participate. To be fair, he was careful with his language and did use the word "appear". He was talking about appearances, at least that's how I read it.
