But who are we playing?

Well then, sorry about the other games, but that's where I'll be.

These games are spread out over the course of the entire weekend. You may get kicked out of the Dome by the custodial staff if you try to stay that long.

I'll tell them I know people. Midge the usher will vouch for my character.

Kansas State at Stanford
North Carolina vs. Georgia (in Atlanta)
Clemson at Auburn
Wisconsin vs. LSU (in Lambeau Field)
Oklahoma vs. Houston (in Houston)
Notre Dame at Texas
UCLA at Texas A&M
USC vs. Alabama (in Arlington)
Ole Miss vs. Florida State (in Orlando)

That is an insane opening slate of games.

I HATE that SU continues to schedule a home game for Labor Day weekend. The students won't be there, the State Fair is competing, and now there will be several good games on TV to give "fans" an excuse to skip the Dome game. :bang:

But Labor Day Weekend is the opening weekend of the season. So we're going to be at home at least half the time.

And the students are always there that weekend.

I predict Ole Miss-Florida State will be the Labor Day Night game.
With ESPN/ABC windows I hope we move the SU-Colgate game to Friday night.
I would think one of Clemson-Auburn/ UGA-UNC/UCLA-A&M will be on CBS. Since they get SEC games.
USC-Alabama will be either a ESPN/ABC primetime game.
ND-Texas probably a 3:30 ABC game
Oklahoma/Houston will be either a ESPN2 primetime or 12 ESPN game.
K-State-Stanford will likely be on FOX primetime
LSU-Wisconsin will be a night game on ESPN/ABC primetime as well.

Insane good day of TV.

We should never schedule a home game for Labor Day weekend. I've said this for years. We don't have a good attendance and the people who do show up wonder if they should come back.

But it's college football, you have to. The season starts on Labor Day Weekend.

I looked back at the last half dozen or so seasons that we played Labor Day Weekend and in most cases that game's attendance was higher than the season average, and in some cases (2005 vs WVU, 2009 vs Minnesota) it was the highest attended game of the year.

You'd rather start the season on the road with an 0-1 record.

You, with your "data" and "facts", stop with that nonsense! We've got a Hot Taek in progress.

its a near certainty that our opener will be friday night vs colgate with espn 3 tv coverage

thats fine.

but lets start it at 9.

since none of you cnyers will be going anyway, lets kick this after dark when we should all be inside and back from the beach, the lake, the pool, the backyard etc. maybe the lil kiddies will be in bed too.

a late start would allow all us e3ers to watch it in its entirety without interruption.

this is the beginning of the Dino-era...dont want to miss a thing.

thanks.
