Ok, I’m frustrated and concerned, but let’s not revise history that no player has ever been developed. The Rony Seikaly exhibit alone smashes that statement.

Fab Melo is another example. CJ Fair too. And let's not forget Preston Shumbert too.

Yeah I don't want to give up on him yet and some people did say he would take a while to develop, but our player development has become so-so over the past several years

Watch how Hillman, after a long layoff has a lot of players playing and presses.
Also uses the 2/3 zone, but let's players play. The 2 freshman Cardosa, and Williams are the kind of players JB used to have.

So we had time to offer Jessie Edwards but didn’t have time to offer Justin Champagnie.
My god the roster management is has been garbage.
Jim Boeheim deserves to be blasted for his roster management but if he was asked about this he would be passive aggressive.
I swear to god this makes me want to call his show and give him hard questions as he won’t answer any hard questions except from the guys who aren’t with the PS. The student media need to press him as he can’t go hard at them if they ask the questions in a non jerky way.

So he and Jessie are unrelated. We need Better center recruiting and development and a rim and paint protector. But not sure how Champagnie would help with that.

Yes he would play for us. But our biggest problem is defense not offense. We play zone, for better or worse, and you need a rim and paint protector in there. Which we don’t have. The staff is responsible for that. But not sure how Champagnie rectifies the center issue. Anyhow, we also should have offered Onuaku’s younger brother, Chino, Jalen Brunson, Monte Morris, Kevin Huerter (as a reclass), Marcus Zagarowski (MCW’s brother) and on and on.

Athleticism helps but isn't the only way to develop a great center. Think Rony Seikaly who lacked consistent rebounding and shot blocking ability until his junior year. He was a force for us as a senior. Our unwillingness to play our young inexperienced bigs hurts us 2-3 years from now.

Rony also had DC come in when he was a junior. DC already knew how to play the game coming from Detroit, so that had to help Rony.

To be fair Chino I read someplace was not going to come here, and we did want Huerter to reclassify.
