2 individual performance question marks as we enter this weekend are Dox Aitken and Bubba Fairman, both with only 4 points on the season.

Michigan upends PSU 14-12 for Michigan's first win.
Both PSU and MIchigan are 1-4.
Terps win big 16-8. It got close there at the end of the 3rd 10-7 with OSU dominating the FOs. Malever looking better every game, with 2 goals. The usual culprits Bernhardt, Wisnauskas and Maltz scoring a lot.

New maltz is already my favorite maltz. Wish we had kept the maltz dynasty in the Cuse circle just to grab him as an offball guy.

How the mighty have fallen! Hard to believe Penn St. lost to Michigan. Colby Kneese seems to struggling this year. He was never an elite goalie but better than this.

Rutgers pulls away from Hopkins in the 2nd half. They're very athletic and seem to always look to get up field fast I really like that about them.

It looks like it was good for UVa that Dox Aitken came out of his slump with 3 goals on 3 shots. Doesn't look like a real impressive win 14-12 over Robert Morris in Charlottesville. It looks like Cormier came to play with 5 goals and an assist, otherwise UVa would have got upset.
I made the mistake of picking UVa this week. With their inconsistent offense I should have known better.

Have to ask is Pat Kavanaugh related to Matt at ND?

Towson vs Delaware and UVA vs Bobby Mo both great games!

Rutgers are legit and their Freshman middie Knobloch is a hell of a player! They have a great middie line and veteran attack!

Rutgers is good, but Hopkins is bad. Hopkins only wins are Michigan and Penn State (who lost to Michigan). Because of the Big 10 only playing conference games, Rutgers only shot at a signature win is against Maryland. I don't see any bonus points for beating Ohio State, Penn State, Hopkins, or Michigan unless one of them beats Maryland. As it stands now, Maryland has no shot at a signature win, maybe Rutgers if they beat everybody else. The closest game Maryland has played was a 6 goal win against Penn State in the second game of the season. Rutgers gets a second shot at the Terps next Sunday.

How is Myers still in a job at Ohio State? They get top recruits every year!

It's Ohio State, they are about football everything else is lower down the food chain. Men's lacrosse is pretty far down. Plus, he got them to the championship game in 2017--lots of good will there.

And I just looked it up he's only had 3 losing seasons out of 11th. I'd say that's really good for Ohio State.

Is that a tongue-in-cheek comment?
OSU's recruiting did seem to be picking up, getting a top attack recruit Jack Myers 2 years back and following up with Grant Mitchell (along with his brother) last year. Looked to be getting another top one in Brendan Grimes this year, but Grimes switched to Hopkins. I don't know that they got a top recruit this spring. They have a five-star defenseman listed for next season. It sort of looked like the fuse was lit from their championship game run until Grimes dropped out. Now OSU seems to be more at the level of finding diamonds in the rough. They could be moving into the transfer game next spring though, with LeClaire and Terefenko moving on.

Using IL's rankings, Michigan and Hopkins look to be 2nd and 3rd in the Big Ten in recruiting over this 3 year period. Rutgers coach is really good at finding guys, like Shane Knobloch.

PSU looks questionable. Their big recruit 2 years back, Birch, hasn't shown up yet, and they lose a lot of seniors this year. They do have a good class coming in with a 5-star goalie and 7 4-stars next year.
