Committed to WVU per his Twitter.
He has a lot of talent. Glad he is going somewhere we are unlikely to face him head to head. I wish him well there.Miss watching him play. He laid out some big hits
The talent dino has brought in (on the defensive side) has been impressive. This kid is very good. NFL good. Sucks it did not work out here. Sigh.
Keep me honest here but I thought I had read he had been suspended and it was not academic related. I think we thought he would get reinstated but that never happened and next thing he is in the portal. (Disclaimer: I read this on our board but do not recall if the suspension was presented as fact or speculation).
Funny enough I feel like he should not even be considered an offensive coach anymore lolYeah wish I knew what happened here.
I’m assuming academically ineligible…and then going to west Virginia after JUCO further helps that case.
Kid was great, really wish it could have worked out here at Cuse for him
Dino, for an offensive coach, has done an amazing job getting defensive studs here
What is really not so funny…. A lot would say his coaching has been really offensive…Funny enough I feel like he should not even be considered an offensive coach anymore lol
WVU isn't any easier academically than much of the Big 12 and SEC, and their support staff stays right on the athletes in terms of academics.I’m assuming academically ineligible…and then going to west Virginia after JUCO further helps that case.
I hate the knocks on academics. Some schools have different missions. I believe WVU's mission is to be open and accessible to most students in West Virginia. Imagine, much like any school, the quality of education is determined by what you put into it.WVU isn't any easier academically than much of the Big 12 and SEC, and their support staff stays right on the athletes in terms of academics.
Yep; I went to grad school there and taught classes. I had many WVU athletes, and they were held to a high standard of conduct in their classes. I often got notes from the support staff, and once in awhile some of the assistant coaches, thanking me for keeping their students up to speed and the staff informed on how they were doing, especially with the rigors of B12 travel. They were right on top of things.I hate the knocks on academics. Some schools have different missions. I believe WVU's mission is to be open and accessible to most students in West Virginia. That sounds about right. At one time I heard they had a really competitive speach therapy program. That would be a graduate program, so I don't know how that compares to their undergrad.I hate the knocks on academics. Some schools have different missions.
