It’s also completely counterintuitive to what the “academics” say they believe in.The academic side of Syracuse University seems to loathe the athletic side of the university. They fail to see how strong athletics can benefit the academic side. It's really weird.
FWIW, this is the exact reason why I have NOT posted any of the legal papers on this board even though they are a matter of public record. We don't need to be doxxing other students even if we totally disagree with how they handled a situation. Leave that crap to other schools. We’re taking the wrong approach here … we live in a social media firestorm viral age. Make the identities of the judicial board public. Go through their social media posts. Find ONE that shows any kind of bias towards athletes, minorities, or even politics. And then crush them online.
Allen could potentially be losing millions in NIL money. That’s where the lawsuit comes in. Show that these kids discriminated against Allen in any way. We’re in a new world and battles need to be fought in this new way. Go get them!
All will be resolved satisfactorily.
He will be reinstated and have a great season.
Based off of everything I’ve read I think he’s as close to innocent as you can get, someone punches you first and twice what would your response be?He’s definitely not innocent here. He got punched twice, first and then retaliated but a full season suspension…get the hell out of here. First 2-3 games, kid learns his lesson and move on. Full season is ABSURD. There are fights every damn weekend on a college campus…absolutely absurd to give him a full season. Gets punched twice by another dude so he punches back is a full season at Cuse while other schools are over here covering up coaches and players killing other people….
Yeah to think a kid should sit there and take the beating is unrealistic, and foolish for their own safety, but it seems so easy for these egg heads and farce boards to view this situation in the rear view mirror from their morale high ground and make decisions on how someone should have acted in the heat of the moment, likely in a situation they've never faced in their entire existence inside their safe and protected little worlds.Based off of everything I’ve read I think he’s as close to innocent as you can get, someone punches you first and twice what would your response be?

I can’t get over the weak foundation of the group who made such a massive decision. Like how pathetic. In the NIL era, how is it legally permissible to have a panel of students hear this case?
Its not student vs student. This athlete could be losing on 6 figures of NIL partnerships.
Private Universities are embarrassing.

Edit - I retired from 29 years in law enforcement and now work for a private university, and woof, boy do they view the world through a lens that is not grounded in reality -- the lack of common sense perpetually blows my mind.
I went from a Fortune 500 company to a large private University. What a shock. I am guessing 5-10% of profs could actually make it in the real world.Edit - I retired from 29 years in law enforcement and now work for a private university, and woof, boy do they view the world through a lens that is not grounded in reality -- the lack of common sense perpetually blows my mind.
Agreed. Put him on probation and have him volunteer some time with inner city kids or something. Don't run a young man's life for something like this.Even if this actually did occur and he was guilty. A season long suspension is a lot for a single punch. Ive seen players do way worse and get less of a punishment

Yes he is.
can anybody tell us if this guy is still with the program, he was brought in during May, maybe with the knowledge that Lequint would not be playing
The only papers on file as of now are the Petitioners' papers. SU is required to have their papers filed with the Court one week prior to the July 19 return date. I will give this Board an update on SU's response as soon as the papers are filed and I have read them. Can you elaborate on the gist of the University's responding papers. Are they vigorously defending the administrative proceeding in the instant matter?
Whose representing the University in the Article 78?
No legal charges! I mean holy smokes! Anyone with half a brain knows this is so far fetched and unreasonable.Any impartial observer would recognize that the damage done to Allen due to this is not commensurate to the offense he committed.
The university should not appear and let Allen move for summary judgmentCan you elaborate on the gist of the University's responding papers. Are they vigorously defending the administrative proceeding in the instant matter?

I don’t think Emily is very good, no mention of Hawkins, she doesn't do homeworkBoth Escobars are walk-ons, and there's no mention of the JUCO.
