Duce appeared in the transfer portal on Tuesday, Dec 13 per a quick Google search. This incident occurred early Sunday morning, Dec. 11.

And the Univerity has 48 hours to enter a player's name into the portal. The player does not do that on his own. In most instances they wait the full 48 to give the player an opportunity to think it through completely and potentiall consult with staff. Timeline just doesn't support that this was a cause-effect situation

I agree...this has been years ago but my younger brother was supposed to attend Syracuse on a wrestling scholarship...lost the program to title 9...No one told our family anything. He found out a month before school. Ended up going to Brockport.

That’s the Article 78 procedure under NYS civil procedure law, which is the motion before the State court.

this is the rule on how to challenge administrative or regulatory actions. Not sure how SU student conduct actions fall under it, but that seems to be the case.

Unbelievable they told Allen it was his responsibility to reach out to the other student to have him attend the hearing...this makes NO SENSE at all...SU really wanted Allen - the guy who defended himself from the primary aggressor - reach back out to the guy who assaulted him and ask him politely if he would attend the hearing? And how does the other guy get no punishment, this is bizzaro land!! No due process for sure...

Think about this: which is worse/more asinine/reckless?

1. Allen -- in the heat of a tense and dangerous moment -- not calling the authorities.
2. OR an SU judicator -- with the luxury of space, time and experience on her side -- actually promoting the notion that the defendant (Allen) should be in direct/unsupervised contact with the initial aggressor to arrange his time and testimony.

Taking a look at the proceedure discovery isn’t allowed.

That makes this even more confusing. The premise of the suit is that punishment has not been historically consistent and the activities of OCS are not public record. How can a judge rule without the most relevant data?

The boards decision that was without detail - wow. How does Kent and the adults on campus not see the issue here? Especially when no way they weren't given the wider details.

The sjb should be disbanded and OCS process rebuilt. After they clean this up and retract their ruling.

One out for Kent is to play dumb and play the " in light of recent new details" and retract.

In 4 different instances never got arrested for that on the hill. They just issued warnings and to disband...

Hey, they based part of the sanctions on the extent of injuries. That’s a question of fact. The other party acknowledged somewhere that got in a number of fights that night. Other than admitting to the tooth, where was it established he’s responsible for the other injuries?

Here’s a lesson for everyone, never talk without counsel. He’s getting hung with his own statements.

even if you were to say allen knocked the tooth out.. doesnt mean it was already damaged by previous fights.
