against baylor, they give up 600 yards passing and win on offense

you know why michigan state got better on offense? they handed the passing game to a guy who graduated from SU that worked for Brian Kelly.

256-462 3,102yds 55.4% 23TDs 17INTs 120.9 rating

over/under is likely: 6 Wins. 4000 yds and 30 TDs

If we score 35 TDs this season offensively I will be happy.
We scored 205 points(17.1 PPG) in 12 games last year. 22 TDs(3 defensive scores vs. 1-ND, 2-WF), 2 2pt conversions, 20 XPs, and 17 FGs.
If the offense can go from 19 TDs to 35 TDs this year I would consider that a success. If we go from 19 to 25 range that is not success.

That is more than fair. At 35 TDs we will still be in the bottom 1/3 of the ACC. When we get over 40 we are on our way. Lots of wood to chop.

Did you even pay attention to the previous years at Elmhurst? They hadn't made the playoffs in 30+ years and sucked something awful ... he had them trending upwards ... had a bad offense coming in and made it significantly better ... I can't believe you can't at least acknowledge that.

Without looking it up I bet Paulus threw for more or close to as many TDs in his last game than we did as a team last year.

You mean the two he threw as we got hammered by UConn? I would have loved to have seen how well Marrone's 2008 edition would have fared against FSU or Clemson ... PSU (while decent) was the only team we played that year worthy of the top 15 ... and while SU was competitive that PSU squad wasn't nearly as good as Clemson or FSU defensively. SU only put 7 on the board that day too.

I'm not saying he will be good or bad but give the guy a chance The statements about the spring game are just unreal. All they are trying to do is get out of that game with no injuries. They show very little in that game by design

I will make one not so bold prediction. I guarantee that this years offense will be better than last years. No one is worse than MacDonald
