Agree to disagree. We'd be wasting the best receiving corps we've had in 2 decades with a guy like him. He was a bad passer. I liked the guy, but I also watched the games.

I think Shrader's rotator cuff got mashed up (now his play was reckless and did it on his own) but the same guy who threw at start of season was never the guy at the end. You can win with Shrader for sure. but that guy is like 2 guys (the guy in November is handicapped).

I'd rather the pitch and catch McCord all day long. But these guys don't grow on trees. We've had like 3 of them since Marvin Graves (McNabb, Nassib and McCord)

Most college QBs are. Look at the QBs on our schedule this year. Besides Ward is there anyone hands down you are taking over Shrader? I think Holstein and Bailey I would probably take but a lot of that is based on having them 4 years. Holstein has been erratic even within games. Bailey up until last game has looked great, although he takes a lot of sacks.

But back to the main point, there are not a lot of good passing QBs out there in college football. Ideally we have a duel threat who is a slightly better passer than a runner. I rather have that than a pure passer is isn't a great passer.

OG and LQA have interesting decisions to make. I’m not sure either have done enough this year to be sure locks to go. I think Pena and Meeks come back with the right incentives (bag and Qb).

Fran is definitely going to cull the herd with kids who aren’t getting it and buying in.

Keep sold and deep cuts.

It makes less sense for OG to return without McCord, IMO.

I was most impressed by the deep ball to OG over the middle on third and long or perhaps it was a fourth down and medium. Forget which. He made that decision before OG even made his cut and it was perfectly thrown.

He throws his guys open all day. I dont like the short outs to the opposite side as they are six picks waiting to happen. Same with the screen dumps over the middle about 5 yards, too much congestion and again picks all over those throws. I would like for Nixon to get rid of the middle screens completely i dont think we have one that has worked. We seem to do our best out of the bunch package when we are crossing rubbing guys off. Bottom line is hes a pro

I'm all for mobile QBs. Emphasis on the QB. Shrader wasn't a QB, he was a glorified RB who could throw a halfway decent pass maybe 50% of the time.

Dungey-type? Sure, he was more QB than RB. But no more Shraders. Please.

I think a 100% healthy Shrader was a better QB than he gets credit for. But he was never healthy a couple game into the season

Not sure why people are making up McCord not having a strong arm. His throws have plenty of zip and he doesn't try to get them too hot.

We don't throw deep much because the line isn't great and WRs aren't go route guys. I think he'll do fine for arm strength at the combine.
