Let’s run it back

Pena at 6' is not the same as the Rams dude at 6'2 who is physical.

Love Pena and what he has done, But how that plays out in the NFL without elite speed is hard to see where he even gets drafted.

OG will go and hope to find the right fit

Wax is 6'1 230. Franklin was not bigger but he plays like he is 250.

Meeks would have to find another yr to stay.

Allen. who knows. He plays his heart out but his lack of burst shows. Again he would be better un drafted and find a fit.

Kyle has to find out he is getting drafted higher than 4th rd and also get that year back, so really a long shot.

We are scheming guys open, I dont worry about the WR spots if we have Haynes/JRS/Pena back as long as we find a QB

I don’t know one way or the other but the broadcast said Meeks had another year.

Junior Year (2023 at Georgia): Appeared in 12 games

Sophomore Year (2022 at Georgia): Saw action as a reserve wide receiver and member of kick coverage units in all-15 games

Freshman Year (2021 at Georgia): Appeared in nine of 15 games

Meeks has shown some stuff that could get him an NFL look with his toughness so his time here has been great.

One thing to understand here is that Fran isn't running a "hold on tight to your talent" program. Dino did that and compared to other programs, our draft results were worse than our recruiting results. Fran is running an "aspire to greatness" program; he knows that rosters are going to be fluid. When players go to the league, that is a win for them individually, and it's a win for the program as it puts our money where our mouth is about being great.

TBH I want anybody who has a legitimate shot to go. Marlowe, Justin, Kyle, Oronde, Trebor, LeQuint? Would love for another season, but really, Godspeed gentlemen. Draft results is a missing link for us to start turning some of that huge 3-star commitment pool into a depth of 4-star commitments.

Yeah I think he played in 5 games his freshmen year and think most were in mop-up duty, which is a shame for us.
I’m convinced if McCord wanted to come back he could petition/ threaten to sue ncaa to get that year back because apparently He was put in game late on mop up duty. From the story (rumor) I heard he and his family were mad OSU burned his shirt for no real reason.
In the old days the NCAA prob says no to anyone other than blue bloods but these days with a QB as high profile as McCord I think they grant him an extra year.
Idk if he would want to but I do think it can happen.

LOL.

We as a fanbase sooooooo overvalue our players.

OG & McCord - absolutely getting drafted.

All those other guys, and I’ll also include Fadil Diggs, are likely looking at UDFA.

They are excellent college players, and I’m psyched they’re Orange.
But there’s guys like them all over college football.
I agree with this. Unless guys are legit projected draft picks they should come back to college.

There are SO MANY RB’s and LB’s who were great in college and don’t make the league. Mikel Jones is exhibit A. Is Wax significantly better than Jones?

All of these guys should come back, take guaranteed NIL money and continue to live the good life as BMOC.

There are 3 guys with a legitimate chance to get drafted and that is McCord, Gadsden, and I believe Barron. McCord is a mid to late round pick but with QBs all it takes is for one coach to fall in love with him and they’ll take him wherever, so there’s some variance when he will go. I think OG is a 5th (or so) rounder right now but he could move up to the 3rd if he tests well. Interestingly, I think Barron is going to be one of those guys who tests well and moves up draft boards quickly. He has the size and production and he is kind of that tweeter that teams need right now in the NFL. If he can run a quick 40 at the combine then he could surprise us and go earlier than expected. Currently he’s potentially a late round pick but we will see. Any or all three could go as UDFAs though because we’ve had guys I thought were late round picks go UDFA multiple times.

I see Diggs as a UDFA unless he’s a combine beast, but I don’t think so. LQA is a UDFA. His pass pro and catching abilities do help him though.

Those broadcasters also said repeatedly that SU played AT Stanford this year.

They also said, when we were in control of Cal early and often yesterday, that it was the same thing at BC the previous week and we let them come back.

They called a different game than I watched. We had the lead in the BC game for all of 49 seconds.

If there was a drinking game for every ridiculous thing said on a CW broadcast, I'd be dead.

I wonder if any would consider coming back if they are not pretty sure they will be taken in the first 3 rounds.

I noticed the announcers also said "Mcoid" over and over again

I agree that we as a fanbase do over-value our players, but I think this poster is not wrong that the group mentioned will take a shot at the draft (not necessarily that they will get drafted).

IMO LQA, Meeks and Pena I expect all 3 back unless they transfer. None are pro players.

There is certainly to be some herd culling.
Can Meeks come back? I thought he was done

That would be amazing. We are going to have a deep WR room next year. Need to add a speed back does the coaches kid have another year because of the injury

Meek's eligibility will run out at the end of the year. He has played four years and those announcers often didn't have their facts straight.

OG and LQA have interesting decisions to make. I’m not sure either have done enough this year to be sure locks to go. I think Pena and Meeks come back with the right incentives (bag and Qb).

Fran is definitely going to cull the herd with kids who aren’t getting it and buying in.

Keep sold and deep cuts.
Through yesterdays game, OG is ranked 45TH in the nation in All Conferences with 54 REC for 707 YDS. and 4 TDS.

Trebor Pena is ranked 41ST with 71 REC for 736 YDS and 5 TDS//

LQA is ranked 45TH with 169 ATT for 761 YDS and 11 TDS

For comparison sake the #1, 2, & 3 ranked receivers are:

1. Nick Nash SDSU - 95 REC - 1282 YDS 14 TDS / 6' 3" 195 WR
2. Harold Fanin BGSU - 83 REC - 1,170 YDS - 8 TDS / 6' 4" 230 TE
3. Tetairoa McMillan - 69 REC - 1,136 YDS - 7 TDS / 6' 5" 212 WR
10. Xavier Restrepo MIA - 55 REC - 934 YDS - 10 TDS / 5' 10" 198

I know OG is a great TE/WR but I 'd like to see him stay another year.

LeQuint is a baller - is he fast enough to be an NFL RB?

Those broadcasters also said repeatedly that SU played AT Stanford this year.
And that a ball 10 feet over the receivers head wasn’t caught due to the sun in his eyes
