I know I’ve been out or school for almost 20 years, but isn’t a thing where there’s a Classroom somewhere in Newhouse or somewhere else on campus that says this space was made possible by proceeds from the 93 fiesta bowl?

Yeah, I'm pretty neutral overall on Duke and I like Maliq so that would be fine. That said, the Gators have always been my second team. Also Creighton made me a fan after they stuck it to UConn and Hurley. Finally, St. John's and Kadary has become fun to root for.

I'm fine with Duke. They are basically a way station for guys that want to go to the NBA after one year or some others, like Maliq, who just want to be there.

Give me Flagg on the Knicks and I won't care that he went to Duke.

Kadary/St Johns would be cool.

I do still hate UConn.

Yes, I've lectured in that room. But that practice stopped a long, long time ago.

I just don't understand the Treadmill Situation, though. We pulled in hundreds of thousands from ACC team performance in the NCAAT last year alone, but we can't buy 2 treadmills?

If that's really true (and I have my doubts) then rooting for ACC teams for the money is pointless. The money must be going into someone's pockets.

Especially when we've been told we have no treadmills for the men's and women's hoops team to use. Where did all that sweet NC State money that SU shared in last season go? Why didn't we buy treadmills? You know, since we should be rooting for money.

I believe it! Which is why the tales of basketball coaches hustling to buy a couple never made sense to me.

Nope.

SU being in the ACC is purely transactional. There's no history, no geographic affection, no institutional relevance... just money.

I don't always root against ACC teams. But I feel no compelling reason to root for them just because we happen to, at this moment, share the same conference affiliation.

It's all gonna change soon anyway.
