This is the absolute worst thing that could happen to the ACC. It's now G5. The ACC will be lucky to get 2 teams into the 12 team playoffs.

The reason it’s good in my mind is the following … my understanding is with 11 teams in a tourney the top two in each super conference get a bid with 4 at large bids. Why go to the SEC to compete for two spots with Texas, Oklahoma, UGA and Bama when your biggest path of resistance is Clemson? You gonna rely on a committee for an at large after what just happened?
