Inexperienced, but much better arm. He's the QB of the future. We should start giving him reps now. I just don't see Hunt beating ND. I don't want to see Hunt for the next two years. Let's give Wilson a shot.

so you want less offense because that's what you would get since Wilson can't run(that's 50% of our offense) and our wrs don't create a ton of seperation

Overreaction to yesterday. Wilson is not a better option, and he may or may not be our future. He definitely would not give us a better chance to win now.

How about we at least wait until the future is ready? Wilson showed against Nova he isn't a better thrower than Hunt, and he has zero running ability.

The only way Wilson should play another snap this year is in the event of a blowout or injury. We committed to Hunt a year ago as "the future" you have to let the kid develop. Shockingly, kids get much better over the course of four years in a program. Look at Nassib, most people wanted him replaced as well, but he got better and we were pretty darn good his senior year. I expect Hunt to continue to develop as a passer over the next two years. Those expecting Hunt to become a god throwing the ball after one offseason were insane. Hunt will almost certainly never be a better passer at Syracuse than Nassib, but he's going to help us win a whole lot of games over the next year and 9 games.

Let's give the kid a chance to get better. In Wilson's case, let's give him a shot to survive, if they put him out there right now he won't have a chance to be a future player for us, he will become a turtles mess of a disaster. Especially given the fact the fanbase will boo his head off immediately after his first terrible mistake.

As many know, I am probably the biggest Austin Wilson booster on this board and maybe the biggest outside of his immediate family.

However, Hunt is clearly the better option at this point. Yes, his passing has not improved much and is a big disappointment. But Hunt is a gamer and he will improve. We do have better receivers this year and they will get better as well. We beat ourselves yesterday and sooner or later this team will get sick and tired of that and will improve.

Hunt will have some great games and some games like yesterday - Ryan was like that at his point also and he couldn't run!

There will be a time for Wilson and he will shine when that time comes. Until then Hunt is our guy.

I don't even think we should resign ourselves to "Hunt still sucks as a passer." Yesterday was very ugly, but he was throwing great at CMU. 7/7 for 72 yards (IIRC) on passes over the middle, the same throws he was missing yesterday...and I don't think the opposition has much to do with that. He might never become a capable passer, but he could've also just had a bad showing.

Yesterday sucked, but we weren't playing for a playoff bid. This is an ever-developing program, and the season is still very young.

maybe he was overamped trying to make up for getting tossed against nova?

Even if you ignore all the rushing numbers we've had a bunch of passing games worse than that since Gerg got canned .

Brutal idea. Hunt is our best option and i still think he has more to give (as I said last week about PTG when many were ready to move on from him-who by the way was excellent yesterday

Horrible OP.

Hunt will win some games this season that Wilson wouldn't sniff.

Mitch not progressing really hurts us here; and FHCDM leaving costs us again... Can you imagine Z.Allen at QB and A.Edwards at RB to this offense?

Zach Allen is 5th string or something at TCU. He probably will never play a snap in his career. What makes you think he could play here?
I realize that he is buried on TCU's depth chart Ano, but he has the required blend of passing/running ability needed for our scheme... Hate to think it, but 5th string @ TCU may be better than anything we have on our roster right now at qb...
